I really feel like they learned everything from Bob and the family. He sold junk mail and was able to pay for their great lifestyle. So the kids learned that they can sell junk, but were able to take that to the next level with strong marketing and design.
GOOP is junk with great marketing and design. WeWork is similar, they market it as something that its not.
The marketing idea made me think of the documentary: The Century of the self (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ3RzGoQC4s)
1. Bob Paltrow - Pleaded guilty to felony tax evasion over his liberal use of the junk mail company to finance his lifestyle. (was sentenced to six months in prison). In March 2019, roughly 700 employees of a company factory in Ciudad Juárez were told to take a three-day weekend, only to return to an empty warehouse
2. Gwyneth Paltrow - GOOP.
3. Rebekah - WeWork.
Micro-algae and Macro-algae are great for absorbing metals that are in water, its used in wastewater treatment: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1319562X1...
When you take an algae supplement it also helps to remove metals from the body as well. Algae is great
How can I meet someone with a PhD/postdoc in a specific field? Should I just browse ASU for PhD students or look at specific universities and areas.
My thinking is to target sales orgs that are going through restructuring or are focusing on major improvements/goals. Execs would push their managers to setup 1:1s for development in the company and career
But from that experience one person will have a lot of trouble guiding a company if the other execs are not on board with what they are trying to do. I was going to join the company but was really worried about the inexperience of the other team members, but I really liked the guy that the VCs brought in.
I think working with algae farms would be the best way. They can provide the nutrients to the algae farmers. Which would be an easier additional revenue stream.
I think a better solution to cut the transportation would be to build a algae farm using closed systems next to the breweries or close to them
>Global Fiberglass Solutions, developed a method to break down blades and press them into pellets and fiber boards to be used for flooring and walls. The company started producing samples at a plant in Sweetwater, Texas, near the continent’s largest concentration of wind farms. It plans another operation in Iowa.

I agree that buying out the residents would be MUCH cheaper than fixing the problem.
Do you know of any other towns that this has happened to?
Its a hard problem because I also don't know how a private company would be able to fund these projects.
If the Commonfields of Cahokia is contracted (changed from supposed) to be treating waster water and is visible failing, can a company come in to try to fix the problem and ignore Commonfields?
This is kind of a weirdly worded question, but what I want to know is if companies are actively being negligent can that be used against them to fight the problem?
The hardest part has been deciding what to fight first and meeting other people who have experience working with algae. I would love to connect with anyone that wants to talk Algae!
There are a very limited number of companies that have complete datasets of buildings in all cities throughout the country. The leader is CoStar, they have the most complete and accurate data. What I have noticed with other CRE data companies is they are focusing on leasing activity or 1 other part of the CRE process. CoStar became the leader by valuing their data over all things, if other companies want to compete they need to do the same.
My main piece of advice that I write on every post about ADHD is the following: Get plenty of sleep, exercise, and look into meditating. Using the Waking Up app by Sam Harris has really taught me so much more than I was expecting. For the first time last year I went 3 months without medicine. I wanted to gauge how strong my attention/focus muscle was without medicine. At the end of 3 months I was able to start noticing when I was distracted or in my head and that was such a be improvement for me, because it allowed me to start paying attention again. I also noticed how I was communicating with myself. I went from being negative towards myself because I knew i should be paying attention. To understanding where my mind is at that day and knowing that today might be a harder day than yesterday, but that is okay. Just take it one step at a time.
TLDR: Exercise & Meditation. Mindfulness will help keep you present and away from the endless mind games you can experience with ADHD
I've been thinking a lot lately about starting a company that focuses on improving water quality, working with waste water treatment, and working on CO2. Going forward I think this problem will continue to get worse and there needs to be companies that are trying to solve these issues.
I feel that luck is important, but also understanding the situation fully and having a positive point of view. Basically the mental state of the person is important.
>But most of all, she loves waiting for the truck driver to stop and say hi
I think the last sentence of the article really says a lot, this is what stuck with me from my experience. The garbage men/women always waved back and acknowledged that I was there. It's an interaction that kids don't always get to experience while watching something super cool happen right out front of their house.
I've done it before, but have been thinking about trying it again, but wanted to talk to others that have tried it.
Cannot agree more, mindfulness has really helped me notice when my symptoms start and that I need to start over on whatever I was doing or just refocus. Using the Waking Up app has really helped me and I cannot recommend it enough!
"A guide to a good life" was the first book on stoicism I read, that link was posted before and led me to it, and it really helped me a lot. I would also recommend the "Tao of Seneca" 3 PDFs that Tim Ferriss put together, the audiobooks are great because you can easily listen to a letter a day which helps me to build the habit of following stoicism.
Another book that really helped me was "The Inner Game of Tennis" https://www.amazon.com/Inner-Game-Tennis-Classic-Performance...
I wonder if this is what happens when you can smell that a storm is coming or its about to rain?
The effects of a storm are pretty interesting. I was going to argue that it would be hard to say that storms would have an impact of most people because most people do not care or are not mindful of what's going on. If it is a major storm you don't have an option. Which can lead to being mindful and aware of what's going on around you. Like a cold shower in the morning will bring you to the present. During a storm you are thinking about the now.
The weather and strong storms have always been exciting to watch. I still haven't seen a tornado, but that is on my bucket list to see.

Ive been using Waking Up with Sam Harris, which is talked about in the article. It has a ton of learning materials, self-timers. It follows vipassana meditation and the app offers metta as well.
