EDIT: though it does occur that you won't want to switch words with several meanings without context, which could be tricky.
My degree was faiyly comprehensive, it's just that since I graduated I have become pretty rusty on the fundamentals, but I guess that's something that should come back to me with a bit of revision.
I guess my main worry was the difficulty of finding a job in a new country with no prior connections and no real professional experience, but I guess I've got around a year to make myself marketable and attempt to build up a few connections from across the pond (maybe I can find a few Rails OS projects willing to take on an eager learner).
Thanks again!
I can't access it on my mobile at the moment as I'm at work and for some reason right in a 3G blind spot, but on my PC it's looking very nice.
Honestly not sure what you could change/add now as it's pretty much perfect for what it's aiming to be! Only possible thing is aligning the 'I want to go to bed at this time' textbox time format with the other times displayed, i.e. the textbox uses 'HH:mm:ss' while everything else uses 'hh:mm am/pm'.
EDIT: just checked it on my iPhone. Looks and works great. 'I want to go to bed now' drop down functions really well.
Also, perhaps when pressing 'I know my bed time' the text above should fade/slide out and be replaced by the other section? Something maybe like this: http://i.imgur.com/OZ8t6NI.png
Finally, not sure if it's intentional but good call on going for white on black: sleepti.me does the last thing I want to see when I go to sleep it a glowing white background!
I'm planning to move from the UK to the States next year (American wife, so hopefully shouldn't be too much hassle) and combine it with a career change from project manager (please don't hate me!) to developer. I have a CS degree and similar Masters, but coding has been primarily a hobby since I graduated (i.e. I can make pretty much what I can think of given enough time, but I'm shaky on the core concepts: big-oh, data structures, design patterns and algorithms).
My plan was basically to (re)learn as much as I can between now and early-mid next year (focusing on RoR) and build up my GH portfolio, then jump into Dev Bootcamp to fill in the gaps and get some introductions hopefully leading into a job. However, after reading your comment it makes me wonder if it'd be $12k wasted?
Any advice or input would be worth at least a pint!
As for the other part of your question...You may as well be asking if it's too late to research 'science'. Machine Learning may have been studied for a fair few years now, but it is still very much in its infancy. The possible developments in this area we can't yet imagine dwarfs the possible developments we can, which in turn dwarfs the 'major contributions' so far.
EDIT: some of my subs include gamedev, getdisciplined, depthhub, truereddit, dailyprogrammer, entrepeneur
Also, some of the highest upvoted threads and comments appear to be warning others of the potential negative consequences of their publicly pointing out everyone with a backpack or different coloured skin.

At any rate, good luck - I can see a lot of effort went into building this.
I don't believe that was the case. From the video he mentioned it using the power kicks up all on the first enemy because they produced the most favorable outcome for that game, at the expense of later games when more powerful moves are needed (since the AI can't plan that far ahead).
However, I have a bit of feedback:
* I don't really like the tasks jumping to the bottom once I set them as complete * A strikethrough on complete tasks would be nicer than just dark grey font
* The backlog doesn't function as I'd expect. The number seems to refer to the total number of incomplete tasks across the whole project, but clicking it takes me to the index. I'd expect the backlog to be any tasks which haven't been assigned to a goal (sort of like the index is now), then a separate function to show all incomplete tasks across the index and goals
* After adding a milestone and selecting it, I have no idea how to get back to the normal project view with the goals and tasks I have already added, except going back to the workspace view then back into the project
* Oh, looks like I click Backlog to get back from a milestone. The backlog feature now makes a little more sense. Maybe it would be better to have the Backlog link close to or on the milestone bar?
I started coding 18 months ago, and now I'm a lead developer at a funded startup and a two-time contributor to Rails
As someone in an unrelated career looking to transition to development, I'd be very interested to hear more about your journey and how you achieved this in such an impressively short timeframe. This should give you a fairly good foundation in the basic concepts of programming, while creating some pretty cool stuff in the psets and for the final project.
Being in the UK as well, cwjobs.co.uk has been my best source for contract jobs, though I do get some good offers through LinkedIn every now and then.
