Always sucks to lose a pioneer.
I first started learning webdev in 2005 and just a decade later the number of educational resources blows my mind.
This makes me feel so fancy online at 8AM in my pajamas.
But I wonder if results would differ between taking notes digitally vs physically hand-writing with pen and paper.
I haven't played many games since the early 2000s and I feel a bit like an old geezer stuck in the mentality of "back in my day..."
I have been doing this with old video game strategy guides for about 6 months now. To me it provides a better solution because I still have the spine and all the content which is printed very close to the book's seam. It does take a LOT longer to scan page-by-page, but I also get to keep the single pages instead of throwing them away.
I have also tried using an exacto knife but the results aren't as clean. I am still waiting for a better solution and your comment certainly does make me think.
Building & maintaining a website is always a learning lesson because there are so many different areas to study.
"ctrl+c ctrl+c ctrl+c, just to make sure :)"
There are no pre-built GChat clients and I have been planning to create one using Phono, which is built on jQuery. Are there better solutions other than this, or the linked example Superfeedr?
Google Chat is my main IM client and I know it's built on XMPP. I just want to pick a solid JS library to build with and make a web interface that can work for people.
Why do you think that is? Because I was raised to always ask questions and learn what you don't understand. I have never really "studied" with a Japanese friend or colleague so I can't say I've ever had the same experience.
I think it's a little of both TBH. I do notice that Japanese designs like to kind of go their own way.
Maybe the Flash layouts are more "exciting" and so it sells more products? This is a great question. It is understandable that it may be easier to add custom renders & graphics of the characters. I would love to speak with somebody from Japan or someone who understands the culture to gauge their opinion.
