My confusion stems from the fact that when you say "implementing" animations, I think of shuffling pixels around. By your logic, every HTML marquee tag "implements" an animation.

The Twitter character limit prohibits going in depth. That is the opposite of what I am looking for. Also, the lack of threading discourages having branches of discussion for the lesser important points.

Yes, but please, can you avoid going around saying that? My children depend on the money I earn by selling support for this. Complexity is a virtue of our industry, and by embracing it, we will all be richer and happier.

Those are some adjectives and a noun. What are you implying? Do you not think that birdyrooster is insightful?

PHP? Are you referring to the programming language? What do you mean by "PHP threads"?

Can you point me to the code implementing an animation in JavaScript?

Redux brands itself as a tool for managing state. How does GraphQL manage state?
iso-8859-1··on How and why GraphQL will influence the Sourcehut alpha
gRPC is awkward on web because it assumes HTTP/2. The web is still half HTTP/1. Also, gRPC does almost everything, but not quite, it doesn't know how to synchronize state in general. It is a heavy weight choice considering that you may only need protobuf. And protobuf is not natively supported in browsers, web devs can't agree on serialization libs, they can only agree on the serialization format. And they didn't choose protobuf ;)

The BDFL is a position that you have for life. It is embedded in the definition. So it is impossible to shed the title.
iso-8859-1··on Wikipedia Lost 3B Organic Search Visits to Google in 2019
VisualEditor is not worth it. It's being touted as a massive improvement, but which editors is it really catering too? Most valuable content in Wikipedia is written by a minority! By spending too much money on VisualEditor, you're optimizing for people who are barely adding value anyway! The money could have been spent on an interactive markup tutorial instead. That would be way cheaper, because it has a linear flow. It would also have been easier because it isn't as performance critical, as it doesn't need to load millions of time per day, only as part of the onboarding process.

If you compare Wikimedias spending 5 years ago to what it is now, it has ballooned in such an excessive way if you put it in context. Wikipedia isn't providing double the value of what it was 5 years ago.

iso-8859-1··on Create diagrams with code using Graphviz
Used Viz.js (Graphviz compiled to JavaScript) for an animated B-Tree visualization, and it works great:

iso-8859-1··on Unicode-based scientific plotting for working in the terminal
Great news! I think we may finally see a resurgence. It will be well supported on mainstream Linux, and given that the web is getting so heavy-weight, this will offer a solid alternative for graphics that you can rely on. Libvte is very popular.

I used your ImageMagick command, but the resulting image is very bright and almost invisible. I tried disabling Unicode using +u8, but that didn't work. I tried mlterm, that worked.

But languages are easy, there is the whole field of PL theory to draw from. If you're randomly throwing things together like Lerdorf was, there's a missed opportunity.

But what is the universally regarded theory that k8s contradicts? I don't think there is one.

"What you send is what they get. You can add, send, receive, and withdraw money from your wallet without worrying about hidden charges. Novi is cutting fees to help people keep more of their money."

What a weird evading answer. "Cutting fees"? That doesn't sound like 0.

FOV and perspective are the easiest variables to tweak to your desire. There are many things that make the images too perfect, especially the sharpness of the waves in the water. But people may prefer it like that, too perfect.
