ideaoverload··on Why I don’t like “lab” companies.
BTW: chrome 15/Windows-text zoom does not work in your blog. FF 8.0/IE 8.0 increase font size as expected
ideaoverload··on Will Cloud Computing Make Everything (and Everyone) Work Harder?
"I propose a 'basic income' no strings attached"

Karl Marx would be happy to hear that. If you implement your idea then small fraction of society would use their free time to learn, read books, follow their passion or improve the world. Much larger fraction would concentrate on pleasant but much less challenging aspects of life like partying/booze/drugs/sex/good food/watching tv/browsing net. [Edit:spelling]

ideaoverload··on How I Quickly Test and Validate Startup Ideas
Zynga's 'ghetto' testing is the same idea, maybe even more radical in details: http://grattisfaction.com/2010/01/how-zynga-does-customer-de...
ideaoverload··on What tool would *you* use to solve this?

ideaoverload··on Show HN: my first product - a simple cost sharing tool
I like it too. Neat idea for free service... Any ideas on monetizing it?

Small suggestion : Expenses/Balance links are not immediately visible. I was looking for them at the bottom of the page. edit: better description

ideaoverload··on My Standing Desk Experiment
Does it exist a single long period during human evolution when people stand in place for 40 hours a week

What about period when people sat 40 hours a week at the desk? It didn't happen either.

ideaoverload··on [dead]
Article summary:

1.Google creates monopoly by offering superior web(!) products for free

2. Facebook is at disadvantage because it does not allow Google to crawl its pages and this is Google's(!) fault.

How come such absurd article is third item on HN? (edit: grammar)

ideaoverload··on Clever Names Aren’t Always a Good Thing
'If you can't remember the name, then it's not clever.' Agreed 100%. Now it's likely too late but wouldn't batchsetup.com be easier and not so generic (edit:available for registration as time of posting)?
ideaoverload··on Reversed dating
My first thoughts:

1. you need to explain it - it is not obvious for the user. That's bad if you hand someone o card and need to explain it

2. if this is a guy to hand this card to the girl it sounds a bit like: a) I am geek using this service b) I am not confident to give you my phone number. Are these advantages in dating game?
