hourislate··on Does the human lifespan have a limit?
You would get healthy and waste money on NMN.
hourislate··on Names of Canada truck convoy donors leaked after reported hack
B.S.

The Government did nothing when the Natives blocked the rail links causing harm to CN/CP and Canadians across the country. Your attempt to obfuscate the facts makes you unqualified to comment and you should refrain from participating in this conversation.

hourislate··on Does the human lifespan have a limit?
There is no evidence it works taken orally. Save your money.
hourislate··on Does the human lifespan have a limit?
It's old news but did you know, He did fuck GSK for 750 million? Basically no one could ever replicate his study. GSK should have done thier homework so boohoo for them but still all is not what it seems.

hourislate··on Does the human lifespan have a limit?
I'm going to save you some money. What really works well and better than taking NMN orally(), eat a natural clean whole food diet (no pufa's or processed food), no alcohol or smoking and walk or do some sort of light exercise for about 30-60 minutes a day.

I am willing to bet it will do more for you than taking NMN.

Peter Attia has discussed this with folks who know a lot more than Sinclair and they have concluded there is no evidence it works. The number one thing you can do to extend lifespan is exercise.

hourislate··on A retired Russian general's criticism may signal a larger problem for Putin
Yes, young men who join the military for no other reason but to try and support themselves (there are no jobs) are sent to kill Ukrainians in Donbass and Luhansk along with convicts who are offered a shorter jail term. Some oof these young men don't come back and their parents are wondering what happened to them? They are usually lied to and told there was an accident but many learn to find out their kids were killed after being forced to fight in Ukraine.
hourislate··on A retired Russian general's criticism may signal a larger problem for Putin
>The massive buildup of Russian troops on the Ukraine and Belarus borders, therefore, is not to deal with a threat from the West. Rather, it is to divert attention from the internal health, demographic challenges, living-standards collapse and pervasive corruption that the Russian citizenry is suffering under the mismanagement of an incompetent Putin regime.

This, most Russians are living a hard life, hand to mouth. They ask him why he sends their children to die trying to kill friends in Donbass and now possibly the rest of Ukraine. This is an evil murderous criminal gang with Putin as their leader. Somehow he has convinced a piece of Russian society that they are under threat by a country like Ukraine that is even poorer and more fragile. He has also gone to great lengths eliminating any who voice an opinion counter to his.

The world really needs to come together and not just for Ukraine's sake but for the millions of Russians who are suffering under this despot in poverty and despair. Hopefully, enough pressure developes that makes this killing of Ukrainians to costly even for Putin and his inner circle. What a shame it would be having Europe and the world bend a knee to this crime against humanity.

hourislate··on Russia could hit U.S. chip industry, White House warns
I remember watching a young man being interviewed somewhere on the front lines of the Bosnian War (1995?) and him saying something to the affect "can you believe what we are doing to each other during this time of the Internet".

There are so many amazing things happening in this day and age on every front and evil Tyrants(aka Putin) want power/control and are willing to burn down other nations so they can rule over the ashes.

Ukrainians just want to be left alone.

hourislate··on Things Delta told the SEC about its SkyMiles program
Wendover Productions has a video on how airlines are banks now. Their Loyalty Programs are worth several times more than the Airlines and flying is basically a secondary business for them.

hourislate··on Growing a mango tree from seed – one year time lapse [video]
>Go back a century and the idea of eating exotic fruits like these was the only available to the wealthiest.

My father told me he was 27 years old when he ate his first banana. This was in Canada in 1950.

hourislate··on Hypertension: Is It Time to Replace Drugs with Nutrition? (2014)
>that diet and exercise adjustment will fix hypertension in most (not all!) cases.

Not really although it can certainly help. There is evidence that there is a profound change (infection of some sort) in the Kidney and at some point that causes a run away inflammatory response that leads to Hypertension, it is an autoimmune condition that is extremely difficult to manage or get rid of. They believe it may be responsible for a great deal of Essential hypertension in adults today.

hourislate··on Hypertension: Is It Time to Replace Drugs with Nutrition? (2014)
This has to be one of the best listens you could possibly hear today on Fructose, Essential hypertension, Uric acid, etc. They have come a long way since 2014.

hourislate··on Inflation rises 7.5% over past year, more than expected and highest since 1982
You just need to get a job at a FAGMAN company so you can live at the office and eat all the free food. Shower in the gym and sleep in the lounges. If this is not possible you need to stop spending. The only things you should be purchasing in this type of environment is food (real food it's cheaper), fuel and paying bills. No spending on anything else, clothing, going out, Chinese crap. Save what the Government is stealing from you through inflation.
hourislate··on Inflation rises 7.5% over past year, more than expected and highest since 1982
This conversation is not productive, nor helpful.

Powell/GS has promised it is transitory and so has President Biden. The fact that you are paying more for everything now is just temporary. Soon things will be back to normal, especially after we embrace the new green deal and approve the 3 trillion $$$ stimulus. It's different this time, Powell has the ability to create trillions with the snap of a finger and buy all the US Government debt indefinitely.

hourislate··on Spotify’s CEO apologizes to employees over Joe Rogan controversy
>However, what they can't lose is employees.

Please, everyone is replaceable. These folks won't even cause a ripple. Everyone has got a price, everyone....

This whole event is driven by the Wokism and the Progressive/Liberal Media. Rogan is killing them and making them all irrelevant. They have to virtue siganl and project in an effort to save themselves.

I'll quit Spotify if they get rid of Rogan, so will a lot of other folks.

hourislate··on Gut microbe linked to depression in large health study
From the article:

>The finding, which emerged from a study of how genetics and diet affect the microbiome, “is really solid proof that this association could have major clinical importance.”

It seems genetics can play a role in some people having a healthy flora. Maybe their bodies can't convert a certain bacteria from food stuff efficiently, thus they are required to supplement.

hourislate··on San Francisco is the scariest city I’ve ever lived in
> I’m not MAD at this guy for scaring me last night.

I feel deeply sad for him.

Our city has let him down.

BUT I AM mad.

I’ll tell you who I’m mad at…

I’m mad at wealthy SF people who live in nice apartments and pretend like the streets aren’t full of homeless people shooting heroin everywhere.

I’m mad at the virtue signaling politicians who only talk about mask policies as if that’s the biggest problem this city faces.

This guy was the one who let the homeless person down. He shouldn't have ran, he should have stopped and became friends with this homeless person, inviting him in and offering a couch to sleep on, a warm meal, and a shower. This guy is projecting/virtue signaling and not taking responsibility for this homeless persons situation but blames everyone else and attempts to display some higher moral status but in reality is the problem himself. Hopefully that homeless person gets another chance too run into this guy so he gets a chance to make things right.

hourislate··on Bloomberg accidentally publishing a story headlined 'Russia Invades Ukraine'
Well they aren't wrong. They have been invading Ukraine in one way or another for quite a while (2014 and on going). Even now Russian convicts are offered reduce sentences to go fight in Donbass.
hourislate··on Spotify deletes 70 Joe Rogan episodes
They are removing episodes that have been around long before Covid. You have proven to be just parroting the same old song and dance without thinking for yourself and as a result are unfit to comment on this topic and should refrain from any more discussion regarding this matter.
hourislate··on How we broke the supply chain
Concerning all the ships loitering off the coast of California. I figure it will get cleaned up over the next few weeks because China is shutting down for Chinese New Year (for at least 2-3 weeks). This should ease some of the congestion since there will be little shipping until March.
hourislate··on Mississippi is 37th state to legalize medical marijuana
>That Mississippi of all places legalizes marijuana means that it will probably be legalized in all 50 states within a year or two.

I highly doubt it. And at a Federal level it will never be legalized. The Biden administration has no plans and the folks involved are just playing games and never had any intention of fulfilling their promises.

hourislate··on Impacts of lack of sleep
Bluntly Stated: The Impacts of Lack of Good Sleep.

You can sleep for 10 hours and still feel shitty. It's getting that good 5-7 hours of restful sleep that makes the difference. Something about that cerebral fluid washing the brain just leaves you feeling like a new person.

hourislate··on A deepfreeze is coming to Texas, and no one knows if the power grid is ready
People have lost their minds, Grocery stores on Tuesday reminded me of the start of the Pandemic. Today it's a little more normal and if this turns out to be a nothing burger, folks will have bought enough groceries to see them through a famine. I would like to report there is still toilet paper available.
hourislate··on Europe Is Losing Nuclear Power Just When It Needs Energy
Part of the problem with Nuclear is tax payer exhaustion. Every time they build a plant it take 10-20 years longer and cost over runs are in the billions. And then you have costly refurbishment that runs into the billions and takes half a decade longer than anticipated. It's a shit show from day one until they finally shut it down 20 billion $$$ later...
hourislate··on The new hire who showed up is not the same person we interviewed
This is especially true with Indian H1B's. A company I was doing work for complained that they were burned at least 3 times. They got someone else who wasn't the person they interviewed. Wasn't a big deal since they would let them go immediately. What's funny is folks were asking are you sure? The manager would say yes I'm sure, I'm Indian and I know who I spoke to during the interview and it wasn't this guy.
hourislate··on Joni Mitchell pulling music from Spotify in solidarity with Neil Young
I'm a fan of both artists but I don't think Joni Mitchell or Neil Young are even relevant to Spotify and their bottom line. Most folks under 30-35 probably don't even know who they are.
hourislate··on Turning back time with epigenetic clocks
For a more thorough dive into this topic, Dr Brad Stanfield on Youtube. I haven't found anyone better in breaking down the latest scientific studies on Longevity.

There is evidence that Metformin doesn't extend the life of healthy people but does extend the life of Type II diabetics.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iByaqfmWfHQ

I would also caution HGH for men since it can enlarge the prostate gland.

David Sinclair had mentioned in a podcast that we use to be cold and hungry and now we're warm and fat all the time. Need to be cold and hungry more often.

Peter Attia has said that the number one thing he believes will extend healthspan/lifespan (if you did nothing else) is exercise. He wish he could prescribe as a medication.
