I had an interview with the company and the interviewer was kind enough to show me the device.

When I was solving this class of problems in 2016 (image acquisition, object detection, identification, measurement etc.) with same kind of limitations (everything has to happen within the device itself, no uplink to the cloud) I managed it with a box of 100 kg and a size of really big suitcase.

Seeing this (sensor package and computation) within small device impressed me personally.

The Orb itself is actually a remarkable piece of technology (considering what is available in a package of this size).

"Normal camera" won't do for the same reason Face ID won't work without PrimeSense.

Ukrainians and Poles were enthusiastically massacring each other for hundreds of years for various reasons (Catholics vs. Orthodox, serfs vs. land owners, nationalists vs. nationalists and so on). This part of history is accepted by both sides. It's true, that collateral damage included Jews sometimes. Some Eastern European Jewish historians describe it as "always choosing the wrong side". Jews were targeted for managing estates of Polish nobility, participation in establishment of Communist rule in Ukraine in 1920s, participation in establishment of Soviet rule in 1939-1941 in Western Ukraine. But they were never targeted for being Jews.

That would constitute a crime against humanity. Can you point to any trial against members of this organisation?

Because I'm not a citizen of Lebanon, Jordan or Egypt. As an Israeli citizen I share the responsibility and am obliged to react to any colonial era exercise the government is trying to pull off.

Main problem here that if Israeli citizen will decide to marry a Lebanese, or a Jordanian, or an Egyptian or even Saudi citizen, they won't be able to live in Israel.

Outrage of non-Israelis about is law is merely academical. Outrage of (some of) Israelis is practical: the state is putting a choice in front of a citizen -- be able to marry a person you want or be able to live in Israel.

There is no problem for Israeli Jew to marry a resident of WB/Gaza who is also Israeli Jew. This happens all the time (except Gaza, no Israeli Jews live there).

Concept of Israeli Jew marrying a non-Jew (no matter the residency) doesn't exist in Israeli law.

The state may (but not obliged to) recognize the marriage registered abroad.

For non-Muslim non-Israeli spouses of Israeli Jews there is a 5+ year naturalization procedure where outcome is not guaranteed and every half a year one has to recount all the spots and birthmarks of significant other in front of state official to prove the marriage is not a fake.

This specific law is for Muslim non-Israeli spouses. Instead of 5+ year procedure it's just a firm "No".

Term "Nazi" originally and in modern Russian [propaganda] have a different meaning. "Being Ukrainian (speaking the language, knowing the history, preserving the culture)" is equal to being "Nazi" in the eyes of Russians.

So 10% are those, who would not make compromises related to language, history and culture to have some economic or political gains.

A month ago all the alleged war criminals were sitting in jails (convicted ones are still incarcerated). This doesn't equal to rehabilitation.

For all the governmental entities owning a public resource on Internet

- remove all the JS code loaded from outside sources

- move all the resources to hosting physically located in Russia

- move all the resources to zone .ru

I've seen this text in Russian several days ago.

To me it looks like regurgitated points from https://el-murid.livejournal.com/ (in Russian), which is sophisticated (as opposed to spewing blatant lies) propaganda outlet hiding the payload within a series of perfectly correct and logical statements.

Famine is the natural stable state for Russia.

Russia was on the brink of famine in 1990-1991. Putin's political career started from stealing and reselling humanitarian aid from USA in St Petersburg. He was saved from prosecution by mayor Sobchak. That's why his daughter Ksenia Sobchak always got preferential treatment.

In 2014 I flew from Israel back to Ukraine to participate in Euromaidan.

So instead of fleeing all the Russians of the world should flock back instead.

Not so fast. Militias are full. You can't even bribe your way in.

Potato is a poisonous plant. Only roots are safe to eat. When introduced in some regions of Eastern Europe people actually died eating wrong parts.

With roots, peeling will remove anything remotely dangerous.

To add a background: independent from government (they were controlled by the previous generation of the oligarchs) journalism was "encouraged" to leave Russia some twenty years ago. Some landed jobs in Ukraine.

These don't disagree with the government, they just complain, that it's very inconvenient to report facts that at any moment later could be arbitrarily labeled "fake" or "disinformation".

Same for me (as a native Ukrainian speaker).

As a result of mass protests prime minister resigned. Emergent leader of the protests won elections and became prime minister. At some point later after vote of no confidence he won elections again.

It's not drifting to the West, it's changing government by elections, what made Russia to put pressure to Armenia

Only 5% of population speak at least one foreign language. You can call it a bubble.

It goes like this (based on experience in Kyiv): first Police burns, than they shoot back, than you shoot back until there is no police left. Then elections.

There are no opposition parties in Russia. On the topic of the war the main sentiment is "We can do it again" (Можем повторить).

When prominent leader of "opposition" Navalny was asked about returning Crimea to Ukraine after Putin, answer was "It is not a sandwich to pass it back and forth".

Consider that he has own logic of: if they present us with possible sanctions, it's considered aggression, so we attack, else they are weak, so we attack.

Since Peace of Westphalia historical grounds for aggression were not valid.

In his speech Putin dived directly to Rus, denying centuries of political development.

That is the main reason Russia is dangerous to everyone: not because of an attack on Ukraine, but because of dismantling the current world order.

WW3 is not "Russia against the world". WW3 is every country seeing the possibility of quietly entering the fry and getting out in a better position.

Let's (for simplicity) assume the war is not a factor. It's also safe to assume there is a necessary majority to pass all the changes to adapt Ukraine laws to be part of EU. The major time sink would be coming up with all the compromises around economical interests of various market participants within EU and in Ukraine itself.

Modern Russian is a little bit older than hundred years.

"Pre-reform" language was significantly different in script, vocabulary and grammar and wasn't older than hundred years itself. Before Napoleonic war 1812 nobility was speaking French, ruling family was German and serfs were speaking Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian or one of the Turkic dialects.

The only slavic parts remaining in the modern Russian is Cyrillic script and words borrowed from Ukrainian.
