gammajmp··on Feynman's Messenger Lectures (1964)
I'm not a physicist, but in terms of capturing the magic of science for the general public, I would nominate Neil deGrasse Tyson. He (and Carl Sagan before him) tremendously furthered understanding of the scientific method and its results.
gammajmp··on Things I wish I’d known before fulltime RVing (2017)
Thank you for sharing that post.

I nearly felt allergic while reading about the endless quality control issues. Piecework only "works" when people easily can and do verify the product delivered. A combination of customers and shareholders are getting boned by workers, their managers, and the dealerships here. Incentives matter.

gammajmp··on How Do Nuclear Submarines Make Oxygen [video]
Yes, I'm with you there. I primarily watch YouTube to unwind; would use a search engine if I just wanted an answer.
gammajmp··on Federal judge: Border searches of cell phones require a warrant
You're right. I meant to say that international airports don't yield a 100 mile radius for the CBP to perform arbitrary stops. Shorelines count; the whole situation is ridiculous.
gammajmp··on Federal judge: Border searches of cell phones require a warrant
This isn't true. But, 100 miles from our two borders is incredibly abusive enough.
gammajmp··on BMW releases all-electric 5-series
That would work. They've been using the i prefix for a while though. I still have fond memories of the first time I saw an i8 in person. It really looked like something from the future.

The 530e is a plug-in hybrid.
gammajmp··on Linux Networking Shallow Dive: WireGuard, Routing, TCP/IP and NAT
Yes! I definitely agree. I've used GRETAP for L2 over Wireguard in the past, but it was quite a while ago. GENEVE looks like the way to go these days

Use a GRETAP interface; Red Hat's virtual interface documentation is phenomenal:
