HAH!
Also, thanks a lot for building this utility. I've typically used mac's builtin "Preview" app to do some basic PDF operations like deleting some pages and merging two pdfs, but doing so on windows required using some sketchy websites.
Now, that's a re-writing of history if I've ever seen one.
> Israeli and Palestinian deaths preceding the 2023 Gaza war. Of the Palestinian deaths 5,360 were in Gaza, 1,007 in the West Bank, 37 in Israel. Most were civilians on both sides.

> And now, with Iran's nuclear ambitions supposedly neutralized in a single blow, we can all relax. The threat is gone. No strategic aftershocks, no long term consequences, no unintended escalation. Just peace, stability, and a region completely satisfied with the outcome.
Sounds like sarcasm to me.
That's a good point, its pretty easy to forget BEAM's heritage from the telecom world. The defaults on the VM are for that use-case, I'm so used to thinking of everything from a web perspective that I didn't even consider this, despite knowing of its history.
TLDR: BEAM VM uses busy waiting under the hood to achieve fast response time when dealing with requests. you can disable it by setting a few options in the VM.
Edit: Interesting thing here is that there's no significant latency difference when toggling busy/wait, so not sure why that's the default.
It's weird how there's even a large enough market for all of these in the first place.
I pretty much agree with everything you said, aside from this. I think retros are pretty good where the team can come together and say why certain tasks too long and figure out solutions to those. But rest of the scrum stuff is pretty garbage, especially cross team demos.
Thanks for this comment, I guess I gotta do some research on this now.
I read that as "funeral velocity"... maybe its all the school shootings that happen but that was a rather macabre.
Take a look at this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Israeli%E2%80%... for an very short example of Palestinian suffering in this 70+ years of conflict.
Wilful ignorance isn't a good reason to spout nonsense.
OK, let's for a second assume that all this crap started on Oct 7. What exactly have the Palestinians' in West Bank got to do with any of this shit? 1k arrests, settlers gunning down people walking down the street there. This whole shit is absolutely disgusting and the fact that people sit in the comforts of their home and preach about teaching "Gazan's their lessons", whatever the hell that means.
His comments came around the same time as Israel announced their blockade of all food, water and electricity into Gaza.
Dont use the deaths of innocent Israelis to silence legitimate critique of the Israeli government and the war crimes they’re committing.
