Quick question: how do you distinguish content blocker extensions from regular extensions? All the Adblockers I know have to use both to be effective at hiding ads, especially on YouTube.
In that case, the new owner can still do the spying.

Owner X died and the next 6 contributors don't care about the project. Here comes Ron, with his 3 PRs from 2020, suddenly able to publish releases as if X is still here.
There are so many dead projects where the author doesn't even care to assign the next person, what do you do then?
I think forks are the best thing we got at the moment, with potential for some social bidding at the package registry level ("I vouch for Ron to take over the package, as I'm a known FOSS contributor")
It's there now. Too late I guess. https://stackoverflow.com/help/what-is-staging-ground
Anyway, what I'm asking is a native way to run software in a real sandbox. It's really not a big deal to grant access when asked. Have you used any mobile OSes in the past 20 years? It's the default there and I can be certain that any random utility cannot read my clipboard or user directory without consent.
It took me a year to convince her that it was not ok. They took away her passport, phone, she wasn't allowed to go out without them. I was ready to help her but she did not want my help.
In the end I'm sure she had to pay her "employer" for breach of contract since she left early. I think she had less than $1000 saved from these 18 months of work.
The thing that made me angry the most is that the family was incredibly well off, yet thought they deserve a slave (or more than one) at home.
The 3% credit card charge on the other hand... but I'd rather pay cash than confront the poor cashier.
I will just respond with a 1-star review.
> What happens if a tourist refuses to pay the fee?
Just about what would happen if you refuse to pay the bill, most likely you'll end up being shared on some Facebook group or worse.
I live in a touristy part of the world and effectively all restaurants above baseline level will have a "+7% service +11% tax" line.
To me this is clearly deceptive practice.
Perpetual is way harder to justify though.
1. I open the dialog, "Dimensions" appears (it was already selected)
2. It fails to load the dimensions of a screenshot macOS itself took: https://imgur.com/ufs0UfZ
3. I close the dialog, the new fields disappear
To me this confirms that macOS is still a toy for Apple 20 years later.

NOW what?
I just took this screenshot in macOS 18, same view (gallery)
Sadly, it has received effectively zero updates since. The only amazing things about the Finder are column view and QuickLook, both of which we've had forever
For reference, both Windows Vista and QuckLook came out nearly 20 years ago. TWENTY.
[1]: One example: you could customize it to show fields from your MP3 files, including the artwork, and *edit* the files inline. Some goes for EXIF. macOS, today, won't even show you something as basic the image dimensions (not file size)Car automakers are not going to support your infotainment system (for free) even just 5 years down the line.
Even just thinking about the integrations gives me a headache (will my music app work on my car? how do I transfer my trip from Google Maps on my phone to my car?)
So the solution for today and tomorrow is to just stream your entire phone to the car.
Of course don't just spam untested PRs as that will land you in PR jail very quickly.
