For my style of positive parenting a lot of it comes down to clearly illustrating for my kids that they enjoy many privileges around the house. These privileges are conditional on their behaviour in the house. That is basically the foundation and then it’s positive parenting on top of that with privileges lost when necessary. All lost privileges or up for debate and negotiation, there is no confusion or all mighty authority.
In my case the algorithm decided I should be slowly forwarded into the arms of a pharmacist prescribing a stimulant to help with a bunch of mildly ADHD/ASD quirks in my personality.
Speaking of dinner time, the negative effects of all the boomer moms and their trendy diets on young girls at the time. Weight Watchers. Just the phrase “Weight Watchers” being in the house and in the air.
It seems perfectly plausible to me that releasing video of the Pentagon being struck by terrorists would only serve to glorify the events that day. At the end of the day those agencies did their job and secured any footage. This gave the government the opportunity to decide what is released to the public and I think they made the right choice considering the promotional value of it to the terrorists.
My son wears a mask to kindergarten and I’ve been impressed by just how much it doesn’t seem to bother him or really matter at all. That link about deforming ears is interesting! It’s funny actually, my family tends to have stuck out “Obama ears” as well call them. Maybe this will create more “ear peers” with the potential to actually increase their hearing capabilities?
Same. 2006. (In hindsight) I had some frontal lobe related issues beforehand, so it’s hard to really “blame” one thing or the other.
Overall, not worth the insurance settlement. If anything, the idea that I cashed out ended up alienating me from my entire support network. Friends and family, people I’d just met who had been told my story before hand… Yuck. Glad to now run in different circles selected for maturity this time.
They will comment instead, which is a more valuable form of engagement. A quick dislike and then moving on is less time spent on a video? People return to see responses to their comment, end up in conversation or reading other comments. My guess anyways.
There are a few seasons of US Big Brother which are genuinely great, intelligent and deep TV. You have to look past the production a bit and get in their heads. At the end of the day, it’s people trapped inside a TV show. It’s a psychological experiment. It’s a real competition for real money involving deception and alliances. Same with Survivor. These shows are often bad but there are some gem seasons out there.
Reflecting on past experiences, does anybody else find that first checking IMDB for a score has ultimately been a flop of a habit? Also, IMDB, it’s not what it used to be am I right?
So did we until the kids got old enough to have a say. Perhaps that is Disney’s thinking, they’ve got the kids roped in and exhausted parents willing to spend.
I really like this idea of listing things to be thankful for. I might just start up a mega list in my house for my kids to contribute to. Maybe a binder? Something we can revisit together and contribute to.
Everything about this channel is great except the way he leans into London so hard. It’s his hometown and as a life long Londoner… I get it.
That said, I drive this mess everyday and my 25 min cross town commute makes Torontonians cry. I don’t bike or bus though, so I do ultimately agree with him.
Regarding downtown. You won’t find more information on that shack thing because it’s not real. Besides a couple historic floods and fires I can’t think of what he means.
Yeah, I mean, this is among Canadians willing to fill out a survey online. Frankly it feels like another push in the media world to shift blame to FB.
As far as specifically Canadian factors, maybe don’t survey us in October when the days are getting noticeably shorter? I feel like we are all a little melancholy right now preparing for our lightless morning commutes.
I don’t know how detailed their analytics are, but using TikTok does somewhat resemble some sort of psychological experiment with fast flying stimuli. It figured me out pretty quick.
Interesting! The guys putting the new road in by my house are just chain smoking WHILE they are pouring the asphalt. Kind of seemed odd, but you helped me understand. Especially when all your co-workers are also smoking. How could they ever quit without quitting their job?
