I'm presumed innocent, but the crime of stealing cars isn't ever conflated with regular driving around.
Student A and Student B have a class together. Their dorms are next door to each other. Student A rapes Student B. Is Student B expected to attend class every day with their rapist? To live next door to them? How could one expect Student B to maintain their academic performance in that sort of environment?
Four feminist law professors at Harvard Law School have been telling some alarming truths about the tribunals that have been adjudicating collegiate sex for the past five years.
No tribunals "adjudicate collegiate sex". They adjudicate sexual assault.
Even today, we have "open borders" within the US. People are free to move from from poor (or poorly run) communities to places with more opportunities and it's a win-win.
Similarly Europe has 26 countries in the Shengen area. Some of the countries have a "better-than-average standard of living" and they're doing just fine.
This reminds me of a great Mitchell and Webb sketch. https://youtu.be/CS9ptA3Ya9E
(I found it elsewhere among these comments)
- Woodworking for mere mortals, it's a series that goes into detail about basic things for beginner woodworkers.
- PBS Spacetime, they cover astronomy and cosmology at a nice level for educated laypeople.
It's neither. There are a number of unsavory industries that people choose not participate in. The fact that apple doesn't allow porn in the app store doesn't mean they think they're going to stop porn, nor is it virtue signaling. They just don't want to be a part of it.

Duck is the common name for a large number of species in the waterfowl family Anatidae which also includes swans and geese. Ducks are divided among several subfamilies in the family Anatidae; they do not represent a monophyletic group (the group of all descendants of a single common ancestral species) but a form taxon, since swans and geese are not considered ducks. Ducks are mostly aquatic birds, mostly smaller than the swans and geese, and may be found in both fresh water and sea water. Ducks are sometimes confused with several types of unrelated water birds with similar forms, such as loons or divers, grebes, gallinules, and coots.
But you could also describe a duck in two simple words: "water bird". Apparently that's a real term: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_bird
It freaked me out and I stay as far away as possible from semis on the road now.
Not a lot of thought has gone into the economics of abundance. I think an easy place to start experimenting with this is with food. In the US we produce far more calories than we need and there is a ton of waste, yet people are still hungry. Why? How can we do better?
