How does this safe guards against having the extension under a company and selling that company off. Still the same entity, different owners, different "incentives".
Would this mean that a person that makes 50k/y most pay 20% of their income while a billion$ company still pays 10k? I don't think this helps with wealth inequality.
It's not even about graphics it's about load time on HDD. Which turns out didn't benefit all that much.
I can see customers being much more annoyed at a longer load time than a big install size as this has become pretty common.
I feel not being understood when pronunciation is off is more of a France french issue.
You will be understood eitherway in Canada (given you speak with french Canadians). But I sometime have difficulty being understood by frenchmans, less so with other french speaking cultures
This is already one of the proposed solutions. Although you would have to state a specific date as not to mislead consumers.
I would then have to decide if paying 80$ for a game I won't be able to play in the next 5 years is worth it.
Not only is that not true at all. There are many other jobs you can land other than performing with a formal music degree.
Of course with the right experience you might get away with not getting that formal education but you open so many doors by going through school and getting the "useless" piece of paper.
I don't see how ruining the life of a teenager for having something that is believed to be dangerous through fear mongering but isn't does anything good to society.
There are so many things he could get legally to make actual bombs to kill people.
But then how can you rely on it for things you don't know the answer to? The exercise just goes to show it still can't admit it doesn't know and lies instead.
But the hardware availability and affordability gives them the opportunity to learn and experiment if they want to.
Even tech-savvy people couldn't do that a decade or 2 ago. Not on a budget.
I try not to use AI when learning a new language. I don't want to rely on premade answers to my problem. I prefer using the language's documentation and some light SO searching so I can figure it out on my own. AI is the last resort for me when learning something new.
How would you deal with digital versions now?
Publishers will just leave all the PC versions on steam and call it a day. Those will never expire as long as the publisher remains in business.
Instead over 1 million of them are sent to concentration camps, abused and killed to harvest their organs. It's genocide eitherway.
The issue isn't covered is really the difference here.
Although I kind of agree, the Hummer is a premium product which they use as a marketing tool. It's the development platform for the Silverado which in the end will compete with the F-150.
It's not xenophobia it's purely about the communist party. They are wagging a cold war against the US with barely any response afraid that it will affect their economy. The concern with tiktok is not privacy it's China's control over a large part of the US population and they've more than proved it this time.
The server shouldn't even be able to know that a password is being reused as it should be hashed and salted there is no situation where this would be acceptable
Banning cell phones from prisons doesn't affect law abiding citizen. Forcing ID check is a privacy scandal in the making for what I'm my opinion is the government taking decisions on behalf of parents.
Just make a gouvernement sanctionned DNS with basic instruction how to set it up or let ISP set it up for you.
Good old awareness and education.
If the kid is smart enough to get a "throwaway" device to circumvent parent supervision what makes you believe he won't be able to circumvent gouvernement internet oversight? Even China and North Korea can't prevent their citizens from doing so.
Hardware does become obsolete at some point and people will get rid of them but the EOL of an operating system is not the reason for it. As long as people can boot up and do whatever they want to do with acceptable speed then most won't upgrade.
Unless a big pop-up warns and nags users about it, I don't see Windows 10 PCs getting thrown out anytime soon.
