I ventilate because I'm not an idiot, and still, the studies are contradictory at best.
dfgfek··on What are farm animals thinking?
How smart were those 9 million people? Given that most of them live in zones where they couldn't apply even the simplest agriculture techniques, I would say not much.
dfgfek··on High school student allegedly uses device to turn off nearby iPhones

dfgfek··on 2024 could be the year the PC dumps x86 for Arm, thanks to Windows 12
I only use Windows because it lets me run x86 binaries. If that's not the case any more why would I use Windows?
dfgfek··on Cummins Fined $1.6B for Diesel Defeat Devices in 630K RAM Trucks
Now and always, yes. You can read any mass media newspaper website and you will find global warming theory advocacy left and right. Whatever little greenwashing they publish paid by big oil pales in comparison to that.

The nytimes has an entire section dedicated to it: https://www.nytimes.com/section/climate

And this article on the front page right now: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/23/us/politics/electric-vehi...

Ecologists use their media presence to spread the idea that emission scandals destroy your brand. The (unfortunate, for them) truth is that people don't care.
dfgfek··on How Pinterest scaled
IMDb, wikipedia, etc usually are what I'm looking for when I search for a series' name.
dfgfek··on Google is apparently struggling to contain an ongoing spam attack
That image in your screenshot looks like coupon codes for Arabic web shopping sites.
dfgfek··on How Pinterest scaled
They don't? If I google the name of a TV series to get more information about it, several streaming platforms that have it, including Netflix, take the first spots of the results, although I have no interest in that spam because I intend to pirate it.
dfgfek··on How Pinterest scaled
When I read the first line I thought you meant Pinterest itself :D

Twitter was interesting when you couldn't post photos or videos. You would link to twitpic and knew that people maybe would click... or not. Reminded me of IRC in that regard.
dfgfek··on WebGPU now available for testing in Safari Technology Preview
Web-based apps have been getting more on pair with native apps since 2008. They still aren't there and they are likely to never get there.

Half the article is slamming twitter for completely unrelated things, lol
dfgfek··on South Korea Will Police 'Shrinkflation' at the Supermarket

dfgfek··on An update on HDR and color management in KWin
Millenia will pass before the cheapest monitors and Windows laptops people buy have HDR screens.

And by HDR I don't mean "LCD screens that have huge segments of backlighting that are made to shine more". I mean actual HDR like iPhones have.

dfgfek··on Google agrees to pay $700M in antitrust settlement reached with states
>Ideally we'd have a functioning Congress that would debate these issues and write carefully thought-out laws to regulate app stores.
