This has to do with mitochondrial metabolic processes being the most efficient to break down smaller quantities of sugar. There are mitochondrial mechanisms to break down a lot at once that are turned on in the presence of more sugar but they just aren’t as finely tuned and thus generate free radicals which can cause cellular problems. There really wasn’t a point throughout evolutionary history where there was a prolonged abundance of sugar available to the degree it is today. Because of that, the mechanisms to break down a lot of carbohydrates/sugars at the same time just did not evolve to be as operationally efficient. Free radicals can cause DNA/RNA disruptions and also damage other processes. Source: father is a dedicated microbiologist
What is always strange is how everyone expects the default is this Not happening. People are often bored and nosy and if given the opportunity, they will spy on each other. All primates do this.
People complain so much about the USA immigration law, however the USA remains to be one of the only countries where you can own property if you are not a natural born citizen. There are those who think the latter should change to protect its natural born citizens. Is it a simpler matter to immigrate to India?
The one thing I do not like about neural networks is that they completely abstract the programmer from the problem they are solving. After the neural network is extensively trained, it’s very difficult for even the creator to look at the resulting data structure and make sense of how the problem is actually being solved. I think this is one major reason why neural networks successes have been so confined to specific problems; it’s nearly impossible to predictably modify and improve on a duly functioning and trained multi hidden layer network without starting from scratch and completely retraining it.
Most people don’t WANT to understand. If you try explaining it to them they just plain don’t want to hear it; it’s not that they are too stupid. Sure there are those people also; most just want to bury their heads in the sand.
What if alien abduction is just the government conducting human experiments in a way that no one will believe and does not cause people to think they are violating ethics?
