Btw have you considered something drastically different than your current code? Embedded comes to mind, it's half electrical engineering and lots of instant gratification.
But in general, nonfiction books could help you ace an interview. I wowd some people by merely talking taoist philosophy and how despite having diverse skills, there's something to be said about sticking to your role.
Beyond that and the burnout is real.
Both count for the interview purposes.
I would need over 24 oz of coffee for anything.
But at that point I'm pushing potentially unsafe levels..
I wish we were taught more about taking drugs. Use caffeine since it's legal, for an example.
"Don't have caffeine 2 days in a row. Ask yourself if you really need the energy or are thirsty/bored. Etc...."
You could apply the same to alcohol to reduce alcoholism.
I could do 2 hours of productivity after the kids go to sleep and I'd still have 2 hours for entertainment. I exercise too.
So let's make it even more reasonable. How about 30 minutes, 4 times a week?
>Meaningful progress
So then do an hour or 2? I make progress in 30 minutes and sometimes keep going. If the point is for a resume, you could even do a 1 or 2 week sprint.
I suppose you could even work on it while the kids are awake. My kids love Alphablocks.
If you don't have a personal side project, the issue isn't children. It's desire.
I'm not holding my breath, company lost my Trust a few years ago.
Scientists are Authority, not science.
It was mind boggling how many scientists made this mistake.
Apple doesn't advertise much outside the United States, and given Android is significantly more developer friendly, there isn't a reason for a student to learn on iOS.
Switched to a different service.
I know people want privacy, but I'd sell my income and personal company finances for $500. Where is that tax company?
Do you shut down a country, causing starvation and lack of medical care OR do you attempt business as usual with masks?
People are going to die, the question is how to limit it, and who gets priority.
It was weird being pro science and seeing this turn political. It really showed which of my friends could think scientifically for themselves, and which repeated what authority said.
With digital copies I'll screenshot a page.
Not sure what is better, both seem to have their problems. Underlining requires flipping through every page. Screenshotting gives you more and less information than you need.
But library digital books are free and don't require transportation to obtain.
As a side note, read science, history and philosophy books. It's mind boggling how much better these books are than social media. If a book sucks, move onto the next one(or tell yourself you will read it later).
Need a license. Need to hire cartel workers.
How do you not see the problem?
The poor have nothing to worry about, Medicare is fantastic and keeps a large percentage of the population complacent in the feeding of the physician, hospital, and pharmacy cartels.
And marketing prioritized over quality
And I'm not even defending android, I'm attacking Apples unethical marketing practices of claiming security and privacy, but failing.
Both suffer from abstraction.
I think psychology when closer to biology is similar to programming like running the programming language C experiments.
Maybe safety critical C or assembly is engineering.
Maybe testing code for speed can be considered science.
By the time any useful program is finished, there's significantly more tradition and art than Science and engineering.
Stick your engineers on projects that require correct answers.
It's not a single "Apple music exploit", it's dozens of separate services. Music, messenger, safari, iOS, etc...
I never want to hear Apple cares about security again.
I could forgive 1 mistake, but this seems like negligence. (Don't put me down as a defender of MS or Android, but at least they don't use "Security" in their marketing)
I think about how Linux will be around forever, but Windows and MacOS could be gone/corrupt in as little as 5 years.
It's typically not feasible to "wing it".
Cost, time, and Effort make it so you need to be correct the first time. mistakes do happen, but when I switched from Design Engineering to SWE, I'm allowed significantly more mistakes. These can be inefficiencies, incorrect outcomes, bugs/errors, etc... No big deal because I can recompile. Can't do that with a half million dollar in steel molds with production on a set date.
Additionally with engineering, I'll have 4 layers of management review and sign off. With programming it's subjective code reviews.
Speaking of companies lying... You are holding your phone wrong, and your keyboard works fine.
Oh and your apps might have a backdoor, but it took getting sued by Epic for us to let anyone know that.
Apply lying is about as common as a politician lying.
