It's a "walled prison".
Combination of support and shaming?
Haha I missed more streets with their map program, their music store is more complicated, and their podcast app is more buggy.
It's marketing.
Who's complaining? My neighbors who have fantastic schools and pay trivial taxes?
You can see how easy politicians can conquer minds, it's no surprise trillion dollar companies are able to sell anti consumer products at luxury pricing.
"convenience" is just marketing.
My cellphone OS and web browser are FOSS.
My personal and side project server is FOSS.
I even used GIMP for 10+ years before finally giving adobe 10$ so I could knock out a flyer real quick.
I think we all know who the devil in the room is. FOSS fans know who the sinners are.
Patents are the same. Residencies are the same. Hospitals are the same.
Do you think the physician cartel is going to stop living in Mansions?
I wonder if every company was like this, what would happen to the world.
You can be a picture of health shopping at Walmart, just as you can be a danger to yourself shopping at whole foods.
The various medical cartels have lobbied to artificially decrease the supply of competitors, workers, and companies in the healthcare industry.
Single payer healthcare doesn't magically create more physicians, hospitals, or drug companies.
If nothing else, this may cause something foreign to the medical industry- Competition.
Benevolent? It's not exactly hard to be more benevolent than the medical establishment.
What I don't understand is why there were no nations giving away n95 masks and education on how to wear it. It seems like we hivemind to the unsustainable lockdowns.
It only sucked on a Friday evening for like 1 hour. weird because I would game every night.
I'm something between fiscal conservative, neoliberal, libertarian, and moderate. Labels are bad imo.
These are not typical people.
Anything from MS, Google, and Apple cannot be trusted.
I imagine these people have money, so what's making potentially an extra 200k? You make that in a year.
After giving up video games, programming was fun. Reading nonfiction was insanely fun. So much so, it became a new addiction.
Maybe giving up things you enjoy is easier said than done.
Doesn't seem to matter which party you choose, both are pro war and pro big government corruption/cronyism.
At best I'll vote against the incumbent, at worst I'll vote third party.
The plight of being a 10%er is that you don't have voting power or money.
Android is pretty cool. I wonder if history was different and M$ replaced Google for phones, if we'd have 2 walled prisons.
I remember that marketing trick.
"Change the world"
I remember that one too.
Now I'm a skeptic. I just can't get excited about Tesla claims anymore. My brain has developed defensive mechanisms against their propaganda/PR machine.
I wonder who takes minimum wage jobs, even in 2016. There were plenty of 10$/hr jobs. You'd almost have to look for them.
This was until someone claimed I was addicted. As soon as I heard that, I did research to learn if I was actually addicted to the drug. Like a switch, I stopped having multi day breaks. Multi day breaks wasn't what addicts do.
I'm off everything now, but I do wonder if simply learning about addiction triggered my brain to have the suggested symptoms.
That said, the physician cartel would never let it happen.
