The us ambasador in Greece bragged at a party that they will take down the Romanian government because they opposed some gas pipeline or something which actually happened after a few months after she met the opposition party. She also menaced the greeks they could do the same to them
The problem is not the chargers, for example in my country, we would need to double our energy production, transport capacity, to phase out fossil fuels. The costs would be enormous, double the infra work in the last 70 years.
He might have delivered a lot of revenue growth yea, but Google culture is basically gone. Internally we're not very far from Amazon style "performance management"
Just curious how is this working out if I am working for an American company in Europe and I come to us for a meeting let's say? I will be there for a few days and actually working at the local branch.
Probably not, and he will be shunned by his community. The Roma problem is at this moment unsolvable and it will lead to some sad situation at some point :(.
Often when I look at how us works it seems to me that a lot of political action, censorship and coercion is privatised there, so it looks superficially like you have more degrees of freedom because you are limited by private actors and not the state.
I can't believe no-one mentioned keratological lenses. Not only gives you a glasses free experience during the day, they also slow or stop the progression of myopia. Aren't these avaliable in the US?
I was part of many left wings groups and I remember there was a transitional period in which there was a lot of talk about intersectionalism, that is how we need to not only take into account the class, but also race, gender, sexual orientation etc. Then slowly the class part dissappeared so only the latter were left to intersect.
Have you actually read after the abstract? The study you mentioned is about any spike protein, not only vaccine induced. And you will get a lot mote of that if you get infected.
Also the effect is temporary and limited to the infected cells as these cells are terminated by the immune system or go into apoptosis (as per your study).
Unfortunately there are studies that show that building the battery of an electric car pollutes as much as a ice car in 8 years of use. That's not very helpful unless you find the way to greenify the extraction and building process.
Actually there was that flu vaccine that triggered narcolepsy very rarely in young people after 12 - 24 months. But this is the only example i heard of.
While reasonable, your statement ignore the fact that humans have issues considering the difference between a 1 in the million risk and 1 in 100000 (made up numbers). Many are afraid of flying and drive instead even if the risks are way higher driving.
Actually the us backed down. The crisis was triggered by the installation of us nuclear missiles in turkey, a arm length away from russia. They responded by putting missiles in Cuba. The end game was us pulling its missiles from Turkey and ussr from Cuba.
Artificially supporting and re-introducing wild life has its hazards too. In my country, romania, we have grown a huge bears population, totally disconnected from a natural food chain as you can get. They usually go into cities and villages for food, stopped hibernating because of the availability of food during winter, and keep reproducing. Some have actually moved in abandoned places near cities terrorising locals. The bears are not hunted, with no natural predators and unlimited food...
When I was little I read a Jules vernes story about a big asteroid touching briefly earth and yanking away some water and an island. Presumably this is only perceived by the islanders as a big earthquake and it takes some time for them to realise that they are not on the earth anymore. Next year three is a close pass near earth again and they manage to return to earth in a balloon :)
Hello, just an info, in my hometown, Bucharest, population approx 3mil,they just announced they will test everyone. Some good data will come out if this.
I wonder why EU can't just strike back with economic sanctions if Erdogan follows through with his menace. I think the lira could go really really down...
I remember reading an article on marginal revolution about how wasteful are charities: The paying customers are scarce and the competition is so fierce that a big sum of the money you donate goes on advertising to gain new donors. In the worst cases most of the money goes into that ...
