And Leetcode is not the worst part of it.
Modifying CV, applying, hostile forms, receiving rejection after rejection. Not getting what I am missing.
Leetcode in this scenario is puzzle solving game with clear rules, progress and success definition.
Some of the problems are genuinely fun, like dynamic programming. Some of them are just, "you have to know the trick".
In my case, i would never be able to even get an actual interview if not for these technical screens where you solve a problem and not try to persuade another human to give you a chance.
And still, I feel like hell today (and it is only Friday morning)
I used to run half a marathon every Thursday in a fasted (36 hours) state, but now I can't, I became weak and frail. Aging gets us all!
Alternative, make it possible to have kids without heavy burden on the woman body.
Alternative, make it possible to become pregnant at 50-60 years.
This is all research vectors that we should work on, and not doom on hypothetical what ifs in the future!
And more and more I ask this question. Why? There is only recursive answer, to copy itself, so the copy could continue piloting.
It is poetic and really weird.

You need an expert who knows what to do and how to do it to get good results. Looks like coding with extra steps to me
I DO use AI for some tasks. When I know exactly what I want done and how I want it done. The only issue is busy typing, which AI solves.
now i am running my weekly half-marathons with something sweet, and it has been awesome. Like really no big deal.
there is infinitely larger amount of prompts that will break a model than prompts that won't break it.
you just have to search outside of most probable space
Yesterday I've spent 8 hours hoping that I could do a super easy task, I had to cry before I could focus and do that (it took me 15 minutes, mental preparation for it took me 7 hours).
The problem though, I haven't interviewed for 6 years and it is very likely that I will not find anything for at least a year.
Another problem, I don't feel like coding, ever. I've spent 15 years doing it and, in general, I am not passionate about it at all. I just don't want to do it anymore.
After I've written entire systems that serve ok (I hope). I just can't do a single if statement without DPDR symptoms anymore.
I am so thoroughly done, I just can't imagine doing this for another month. Boss knows, everyone else knows too. I sort of coast for a month and then it is likely that I am gone. I hope I will be gone on good terms.
The biggest question is what is next for me in life? I have absolutely no idea.
I tried for 8 hours straight to code just a little bit, but was unable to. I guess that is burnout, or, in general, understanding that I am not interested in all this computer stuff anymore after doing it for 15 years.
I hate phone alerts with all my soul. I wish they never existed as a concept.
I know from my clinical history that I have mutations in the UGT1A1 gene that cause me to metabolize bilirubin differently. That is a relatively common mutation that occurs in roughly 2-3 percent of people. Unless I am lucky enough to have a random result that coincides with this, I could be fairly certain that this data is somewhat reliable. The problem thought, I don't know the degree of reliability.
this! but I find Clojure incredibly pragmatic, we grow our codebase, ship things, just the line of business work with Postgres/Clojure and Rum(React) on frontend.
We do it with super small team, where one person owns the entire sub system
it looks believable, but most of the ChatGPT4 stuff looks believable, which doesn't make it true.
I would pay for that. Probably much more than for edited version.
I would also really want the output to be deterministic in time so things won't break unexpectedly.
In general, it makes me want to consume less and less of "this". Which, in a sense, coincides with the drop of media consumption in general.
What we see now is subtle poisoning of content: video games, news, social media, books, music.
At some point in the future, it is going to pass the threshold of not being worthy of attention for almost anyone, so the whole industries will collapse.
And we will have to start again, from one soul to the others, with permaban on anything computer generated.
In general, it is possible, to subtle integrate computer generation in creative workflows enabling artists to create something great with less effort, but I am not sure that LLM is the way to go with this.
I am not sure that this is the case, for math to be it needs a set of axioms.
Axioms have to mirror some sort of universe. I am really curious what can be done if we remove all the axioms.
I am sorry if I sound dumb, I don't know much, but it is really interesting.
Why are we sure that mathematics is not completely a part of this time-space bubble?
Let's say there is an "outside" for the mathematics similar to warp space in wh40k.
A "something" where natural numbers, for example, cannot exist, there will be no space or time in such a case, but it may still exist in some weird sense of undivided consciousness.
In such a case for this outside you need a proper rule based bubble to say that there exists a mathematical possibility for our universe to run in according to rules defined inside that bubble.
That would be "simulation space", if we contrast it with the "outside".
I hope I've got my thought across, because I am pretty rusty in my English writing skills.
