you look lonely (i can’t fix that)

deadbabe··on You said no MCP
This is now an outdated mentality in the AI era, where people will quickly use whatever you put out to make themselves better but little to no benefit will return to you beyond maybe a fuzzy feeling. People already feel proud just prompting huge projects out and claiming it as their own work. You will not be recognized.

“When a favor becomes too large to repay, the gratitude turns to resentment.”

deadbabe··on California farmers are struggling to sell grapes as demand for wine drops
The line is very clear: not one drop.

And it is not mentally healthy to drink. Getting tipsy as a way of dealing with social friction is not good for you.

deadbabe··on GPT 6.1 Sol: Near-Astra intelligence for a fifth of the price
It is exactly the same, you’re just doing it wrong.
deadbabe··on You said no MCP
There is no reason to think about team workflows. Focus on your workflow. Your own custom local workflow is basically your competitive advantage as an employee. The moment everyone else can do exactly the same things you do, there is no reason to really keep you around.

The game has changed in the AI era. Horde secrets, skills, custom processes. Don’t share everything. Stop giving things away or you will have nothing left.

People who care already have their words in the LLMs training data.

Why not just have an agent that can branch its context?

Why use subagents at all

There is no reason to drink. It’s literally poison. And I feel in recent decades people have become more obsessed with chasing fitness and health that abstaining from alcohol is very chic.

Using it as a “social lubricant” is a lame excuse, it makes you an imposter giving a false representation of your true personality that people would actually interact with day to day. When the tide goes out, we’ll see who was swimming naked.

deadbabe··on Show HN: TinyAIArena watch AI agents battle it out
You can reduce the amount of non viable policies without AI, for the price of electricity.

Even if you don’t, the purely randomized policies approach will still be order of magnitudes cheaper.

deadbabe··on Show HN: TinyAIArena watch AI agents battle it out
It’s amazing how people with AI are discovering classic techniques for balancing games (i.e. Monte Carlo methods, genetic algorithms…), but somehow implementing them way less efficiently, and without mathematical rigor, basically just having an LLM do the work of deterministic math functions.

deadbabe··on 'That's so AI ' What gen Alpha's biggest insult tells us
Effectively, they will never have a true life. They will just meander around here and there, making money whatever ways they can, surviving, and ultimately pass away from something they can’t afford to fix.
deadbabe··on Meta takes down a critical video about meta AI Glasses after filming at Meta
The outrage over these glasses is overblown.

They have been around for a while. At some point it just became trendy to hate on them, but people are completely oblivious to the fact that you are more easily recorded secretly with smartphones. In fact, most viral content you see where someone is being recorded without their consent is from a smartphone, I have yet to see any such content filmed with actual smart glasses.

The camera is useful for many things besides recording video, but now we can’t have nice things because people think everyone with glasses is trying to creep on them.

It’s just generic AI/tech bubble rage.

You don’t understand the difference between recording things in good faith vs recording things because you want a reaction you can exploit for personal gains.

Touching grass is actually not that good for you. You get itchy or could have an allergic reaction.
deadbabe··on AMD's random number generator can't generate a 0?
I would be very concerned if an RNG simply produced a natural 0.

deadbabe··on US Military had close call after using AI for hallucinated intelligence report
It is exactly what happened.
deadbabe··on How do we prevent mathemathics from devolving into the Medieval Era of secrecy?
I welcome the era of secrecy. After living so much in this era of open information where everyone seems to know everything, secrets may be a way to make things more interesting again.
