1gbit connection, 24 drive for €400/ month ex VAT no setup 10gbit connection, 24 drive for €800/ month ex VAT no setup
OVH are sold out for same and want €942 ex vat http://www.ovh.ie/dedicated_servers/hg_xxl.xml
Gorrilaservers in LA want $900 a month for similar
Thats pretty much all the competition on this high end with 24+ drives
interestingly enough in star trek they still have constraints on things like dilithium, and of course wars are waged over territories
It is also misleading and annoys customers when you show prices exVAT, it is you who gets blamed for this tax not the government or EU
Most of the competition who are outside of the EU dont have to worry about this VAT shit and can have lower prices hence shown to endusers
And not just Google I believe Apple laundered north of 50 billion and only have a handful of employees here http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/business/apples-tax-strate...
As a small business owner it sickens me with how these large companies can get away with so much here, ok granted they are creating jobs (badly needed) and have other positive effects on a sinking economy but having Revenue put a blind eye on these shenanigans while making life miserable for small companies is unfair.
Not only thats almost a quarter of your price gone in sales tax but, there is a quite abit of added work in remaining tax compliant
Of course if you are Google etc of this island you can just launder your money onto Bahamas or somewhere else warmer and barely pay any taxes
how is that for an insight?
One thing I am worried about is potential liability of having someone sueing us under data protection laws here in Ireland, claiming their data was inspected by US and we couldnt protect their privacy
Here in Europe we get to have data protection commisioners and strong laws on the subject unlike across the pond.
actually looking at that list all card processors prohibit whats on that list, for example 2co one is very similar, and i doubt braintree would allow anything on it either
Also means you are more secure since PHPMYADMIN has a history of vulnerabilities and less to run on the server, so your database server can run mysql and nothing else (well maybe stunnel for encrypted connection to your app servers)
Let them kill each other in the Middle East and show the world what "the religion of peace" is all about.
Braintree's business is not worth anything, they are neither innovative nor streamlined nor work as well as Stripe
Anyone know any good bitcoin auction/selling sites? (i already use bitmit)
