How would you know that, though? That's the reason why at this point I can't see myself ever using that kind of a feature. The added stress of the unpredictability would make the experience miserable.
In this case, it's really hard to understand why someone not completely idiotic when it comes to communication would have used the phrase "I like that sentence" after saying "Blacks are more stupid than whites."
Building a landing page can sometimes be a useful prioritization exercise in that sense. It obviously doesn't replace building the actual product eventually.
It would be okay if it were just that, but coupled with the classic god-complex engineer attitude blaming every problem in the world on designers (you're a "manager"? take your number, you're next) it just makes for a very cringe experience for anyone who cares about design discourse.

These are the kinds of things that have more to do with graphic design and that incorporate other considerations than typical UI stuff.
There's a fair amount of overlap between all of them, so if you want to Pareto minmax it, I would recommend starting with Refactoring UI, which should help provide practical solutions to many situations and get rid of the most egregious horrors you might commit.
Of course, UI design goes much deeper than anything those courses can teach, but they're a great start.
