If outcomes like these are collapsed on True-side then the disagreement will reduce from the headline number.
Hoping that people of Iran get freedom, peace and prosperity.
We live in a democracy with representatives. We may be approaching Kazakhstan but not there yet. Protests in Canada were allowed for weeks to go on without much interruption from government and there are still protests going on.
I am against mandates, against vaccine passports, also against debanking people. I would argue better approach in democracy is to call your representatives phone rather than jam 911. You can also vote them out in the next election (there is an election coming up in Ontario, Canada, if you feel that mandates are wrong make sure people running for election understand that you don't want mandates).
I hope we can see there is a way to peacefully coexist, by using tools available in democratic process.
I am not supportive of vaccine mandates and fully support people's right to control what is injected in their bodies. I don't support people getting fired because they are unvaccinated and all the other negative consequences of mandates.
We are in terrible and disappointing situation and can only hope that saner heads will prevail.
For example, in late 2000s oil went up as high as $150 per barrel, gas was super expensive. People started talking about electric cars and renewable energy, companies like Tesla took advantage of that. Also fracking started coming online after that period and oil became relatively cheaper over a long period.
There are places outside of Toronto, Canada which are affordable and have better price to comfort ratio. London Ontario, Gatineau Quebec, Regina Sask, Calgary Alberta are quite affordable and have all the modern life style options available.
Isn't it more intuitive to write?
from stringList where s like '%Tutorials%' select sYou can install your own software on Apple's hardware if that is possible and then use the hardware as you feel fit. Or you can take Apple to court and get a judgement to stop them from scanning your data.

Just a datapoint, but sometimes $2500/year is a reasonable budget.
The following one year was tough, initially I was carried around in wheel chair, too much muscle loss by time of diagnosis. At first, my body was so weak that doctors decided I can't even take the first cycle of chemo at once. My arms were so bruised with all the poking that I had to move them carefully. Then chemo side effects started getting overwhelming. But slowly, things started working. One year in I was back on my feet, started working again. Two years in, here I am writing this comment and hoping for a healthy bright future for everyone out there.
It's better to get advice of multiple doctors, understand risk vs rewards. Yes, there maybe a point when its time to optimize for quality of life and give up, but that should be after one or two lines of treatments.
These cities are immigration destinations, a large number of Canada’s > 300k annual immigrants becomes residents of these cities every year. These immigrants are educated and quite often asset owners in their own countries. So lots of foreign money flows to these cities through immigrant population. Also culturally immigrants invest more in real estate as countries they have come from don’t have great investment alternatives beside real estate.
Because interests rates have been falling for last 20 years property prices have increased tremendously. This has created tremendous wealth for property owners, who then learned that they can cheaply get money out through home equity line of credit. This money is then invested in other properties which are rented out to pay for mortgage and expenses, creating a loop which further expands the price growth.
At this point property owners are making more money just by living or holding their properties than by working. So its becoming extremely attractive form of investment.
All of this is propped up by lax regulation, low housing starts, green belts, few public housing options. It is a dire situation and now young people are getting frustrated. Because the wages haven’t kept up and savings have been inflated away by a government which loves to print money.
Now this not even a big city phenomenon, the leverage available has caused prices in small cities to rise tremendously as well. Young local population is getting priced out because numbered companies are hoarding up houses and making them rentals.
There are some solutions, like banning non residents to own residential property in Canada. Asking for over 50% downpayment for 2nd residential property, 75% on 3rd. Taxing vacant properties.
In the end government needs to realize that residential properties are social assets not financial assets. The goal should be to create vibrant communities, and that cannot be done if people are unable to own a residence.
Be part of a relevant forum / linkedin group, so you can clarify things when you are stuck.
Once you have built your first app, you can build more advanced features and start your job search. Update your linkedin profile with keywords which reflect that you are into web / software development. Start posting stuff on linkedin / blog and making connections with recruiters. Also connect with companies hiring remotely.
There are lots of companies with opensource projects on github, pick some issues, resolve them and send a pull requests, this will give you experience working with existing code, you will get to know remote team dynamics, and get to know people working on these projects.
Ask questions early, seek help often, I have found people to be very collaborative and helpful. We need more people in software development. I wish you great success.
He said something interesting “My advice to those CEOs would be that, at times like this, your company is not your stock and your stock is not your company”.
Another things we need to realize is that there are people who will be losing their life savings or getting into debt. It doesn't matter if someone with high networth loses 1% of their wealth, but it does matter if someone in middle class loses 100% of their savings or worse bought these stocks with debt and now need to pay high interest on the losses. There have been painful situations where losses like these have caused people to have heart attacks, mental health issues and suicide.
Brokers, apps, platforms don't want their names associated with such painful situations.
