What about elderly or disabled people who require car/bus transport to live their daily lives? Are there transportation alternatives for those that can't walk as easily?
I'm not saying this can't work with them, but I'm curious what those options would be. Especially if their neighborhood just becomes one of these superblocks (rather than them deciding to live there).
If it is considered wrong/unethical to film on private property in Idaho - why would they legislate for a specific industry? Shouldn't filming video on private property be illegal all across the board in Idaho if the problem is about basic rights?

Braff's project isn't offering these pledge rewards, a decision he seems to be OK with for distribution but would probably generate TONS of backers.

Yes, that line bugged me as well. Forgetting about AppGratis (because I don't know enough about their business) how do you as a consumer just know that the store owner must be better at curating/rating items for you than a third party who's job that is?
however, I think there's a less obvious value for this tool in offices, for example, where people split gifts or cakes or lottery ante-ups together... not everyone might be physically in the office on a given particular day, etc...
uh, edit: haven't looked into Venmo, doing so now
great idea - super simple and mirrors the fun kids have with the real thing - except they won't lose the pieces.
