- Get people to create a bookshelf as part of the onboarding experience, even with just a few books that they are reading, or have read. What you'll be able to do is instantly provide some recommendations. Finding new books is hard! You have a nice opportunity here to drive really valuable recommendations. Amazon doesn't know what's on your shelf, they know what you've bought or "saved" to buy, this is important.
- Get influencers to upload photos of their bookshelves and do the leg work of digitizing them. Heck, maybe even make this a feature and auto-magically digitize your users' bookshelves for them. Or even better, do some research and figure out what vertically specific influencers are reading, then manually create those bookshelves and accounts.
- 10% affiliate fee is not going to be enough, you need to figure out a much better way to make money, this will be your hardest challenge.

You know who shares valuable knowledge? Other humans who have personally experienced the knowledge I'm trying to acquire. In this context, Reddit IS the website that shares REAL knowledge. I agree I wouldn't search "restaurants near me" on reddit but what I do search locally, and every single time I visit a new city is, "favorite restaurants in city x". The result is real crowd-voted feedback, from real humans that has almost always been extremely reliable, google doesn't do this, effectively.
Another example. I was trying to buy new skis. Google any query and you get SEO'd results which are almost always useless or sponsored reviews/content. Now, try reddit, you get real testimonials from people who have actually used the product and often provide insights I wasn't originally even aware i should be considering.
The reddit dataset is already a search engine, it just doesn't have a pretty UI. It's like trying to buy Gucci shoes at Nordstrom Rack vs. the Gucci store.
Example - how badly do you not want to run today (6/10). Why not 10/10? Because I'll feel better after, because it's part of my marathon training and because dinner will feel more rewarding. Ok, go run.
I am not certain what they were going for, though I can tell you I left knowing that even if I had gotten an offer, there was no way in hell I'd be accepting. It's obvious there are some very successful (happy?) amazon people (amazonians?) but no thank you, I enjoy living.
Q: Will I be able to adjust the settings thresholds, or will Norton decide that?
A: For now, Norton will manage the settings. We are continuing to build capabilities and could potentially make the settings adjustable for you in the future.
Like, I know ~1.5m people still pay for AOL [1] but this is criminal.

2. Just my opinion - I believe that over time people will increasingly value digital assets, I don't think we're even close to understanding their utility. NFT collectors are a growing segment for artists and things like virtual galleries will represent new places to showcase and share those collections.
Edit - I think people should make an effort to distinguish between visual and "technical or attributable" ownership. Too often these threads on NFTs are, "how do you own something if I can copy it" (the picture). That's missing the point. I don't care if you replicate my NFT and its visual identity, I will always be the owner of the underlying attribute and the evolution of that attribute.
NFTs open a new World of opportunity for me. Not only can other humans easily collect, and compensate me for my work, I also have a whole new stream for consuming royalties. Now think further about the ecosystem potential and all the third parties that consume my unsplash content for free today, NFTs can change that.
Mark your comment down and revisit it in a few years, having an opinion on the sidelines is just fine. Now let the downvotes commence.
Moving slow isn't inherently bad, it just might not be.. your thing.
- Specific skill set (what is their expertise) - Values alignment - Ways of working (work life balance, etc) - Communication style - Conflict resolution and disagreement management
- No breakfast, just black coffee - First eating window (~11am - 2pm) - Second eating window (~5pm - 8pm) - No eating after 8pm
I've played with three eating windows and it also works quite well. I cheat on weekends, Fridays and sometimes in social situations. Most important thing to note: build a routine that works for you, nothing is sustainable if it isn't built around your specific lifestyle. If it doesn't work for your lifestyle, it will never sustain.. think about it as product market fit for your body + health.

This is not to say that innovation isn't possible. In my experience, the way to forge ahead in large orgs is to achieve progress by example, advocacy and influence.
