This is a great summary! Large orgs are designed to move slow, it's a necessity of calculated moves. For example, single policy, product or process changes can affect thousands of people and many millions of dollars. These things take time as the ripple effects are far and wide.
This is not to say that innovation isn't possible. In my experience, the way to forge ahead in large orgs is to achieve progress by example, advocacy and influence.
