pushing around sales a little for smoothing out rev rec is not unheard of on the private side. they should have noted it but it's not what i'd call serious. and it didn't do a ton to "obscure".
I know a few people who have done quite well with technical anaylsis. Personally I found a lot more alpha in ML models but the idea isn't bad. HOWEVER you will not find the good stuff being published to some meme stock wsb retard substack. Because when you share a strategy like this with everyone you remove most of its worth.
Like for example there's absolutely significance to "resistance" levels just like certain mkt caps or price targets. Bc people place orders for those prices. Same as how breaking 1b mkt cap usually gets a pop bc it unlocks a lot of institutional capital.
The standard for defeating this is a 2-device setup on zoom or similar: one phone and one computer, both with cameras. Phone must provide some side view of the surrounding environment.
I like to ping my CA friends when I hear about rolling blackouts or grid strain. It's pretty fair after all their "hurr durr deregulation bad Texas has shit power" talk they sometimes send.
there's a real concern that "erotic plasticity" (esp if you combine this with a recommendation algo) can push people towards weird ass shit. literally the same thing happens on youtube, tiktok etc. with regular videos so why would this be an exception?
hey man i get arguments about stuff like access to equal education and police brutality as real problems. but are you really trying to make the case that unequal access to porn is a social woe or oppressive?
there's some funny shit that comes out of it too though, like someone sent me a pic of this stripper looking chick with a whole ass head and neck growing out of her.
Right, but a state can't e.g. cut off a river to do something with the water then be like "lmao it's an experiment in democracy, cry about it". The internet is an interstate "thing" where we can't even 100% say who is where so this kind of regulation absolutely violates federalist principles.
This has been california's strategy for about the past 30 years, trying to write laws so it is too onerous for businesses to only comply with them in CA. It's a violation of the principles of federalism and should be smacked down, and california should be harshly penalized for doing so.
Anecdotally as the target demographic of short video, i'm starting to have friends send around the occasional insta reel not just tiktoks. I think they're making up some ground.
Nah man as a heavy snap user i can tell you the bots and scammers are not native english speakers. Most of the abuse is targeted at America bc we have money but it's perpetrated out of brazil, bangladesh, india, etc.
Before y'all downvote as speculation: apple is literally working with cloudflare and a bunch of other companies on using attestation to replace captchas. Seems like it could roll easily into that.
If y'all remember those "solve media" captchas there were a few years back, forcing people to watch an ad then type a slogan? Yeah this would def happen.
ok y'all need to calm down a little on this (talking to the article as much as comments). this is just the zoomer version of "i wanna be a rockstar!" or substitute football player, fashion designer whatever else. y'all know those jobs where there are always a lot more people who want them than jobs available. so kinda like kids started bands 30 years ago now kids start social media "influencer" pages and try to grow it and most fail. ain't that deep.
you joke but its scary how many girls my age think its not a career but a way to make extra $. they don't realize the kind of impact that will have on professional possibilities (let alone marriage prospects) but i guess that's their problem. anyway it's lowkey funny when i hear them whining about "why is my of a dealbreaker for boyfriends, they shouldn't care"
Just a reminder: a lot of people have literally 0 alternative to MS Office. this is the single largest thing keeping me from going back to daily drive linux.
anybody used this? i still have found 0 software that beats the ease of use, discoverability, simplicity, power and overall ux of Capcut and that's mobile. tbh i'd prefer desktop if i could find it so this could be cool.
You don't even need Dropbox, for a Linux user, you can already build such a system yourself quite trivially by getting an FTP account, mounting it locally with curlftpfs, and then using SVN or CVS on the mounted filesystem. From Windows or Mac, this FTP account could be accessed through built-in software.
it seems kinda unfair to look at cases where companies pull shady shit around preventing cancellation, hiding the options, making people spend an hour on the phone then blame the consumer for a "race to the bottom" when they use a workaround to make cancelling the flip of a switch (like it should be).
