codeTired··on SARS-CoV-2 Infection Affects Energy Stores in the Body, Causing Organ Failure
Do you know the timeline of his symptoms and death? The symptoms are very similar to what flouroquinolone causes, but from my experience death is extremely rare.

I am in touch with physicians and many people and we discovered many things that people are trying that are mentioned in the blog. TNF-a inhibitors, anti-histamines and diets. Plus, many of the supplements listed.

I much appreciate all the work on that blog and will give it a good read at some point.

We are going to unlock a lot of treatments if we can figure out how to fix mitochondrial issues.

I had a reaction to a drug. There is now research pointing to possible mitochondrial issues. I have some symptoms on/off.

Nerves are often affected as they are very energy dependent.

The insane thing is that if I get plenty of sun, like on a summer vacation my symptoms nearly disappear. A lot of people are having good results with red light therapy and it’s something I plan on trying.

I wonder if covid long haulers would also benefit from getting plenty of sun.

codeTired··on Auto industry executives admit electric vehicle plans are in jeopardy
I’m going to blow your mind right now. They sell pre-dented and pre-scratched cars! Have you ever heard of the used car market? And the prices reflect that!

Why would anyone pay new car prices for a damaged car? It has lower resale value.

codeTired··on The beauty of finished software
I wrote a finished software once. It printed “hello world” to the console.
codeTired··on Xbox will block third-party controllers to "preserve the console experience"
No, they are not doing this to stop cheaters. It might be a nice side effect. They are doing it because money.
codeTired··on Ask HN: Why is OpenAI still called OpenAI?
Because company names and slogans are often misleading.
codeTired··on Use YouTube to improve your English pronunciation
My shitty polish accent makes me unique though.
codeTired··on Scientists discover why dozens of endangered elephants died
Don’t you think us humans are accelerating climate change? Like if we were still dumb and living in caves maybe we wouldn’t pollute so much?
codeTired··on Medically assisted deaths constituted 4.1 per cent of all deaths in Canada
I agree with other poster who responded to this.

Just want to add context matters and comparing my argument to arguments against pro-lifers is unfair.

Assisted suicide only terminates a single life of an individual who has made a choice in a good state of mind.

Even if argument seems the same as your second example it isn’t. Not every issue is the same and context matters.

codeTired··on A fourth of U.S. health visits now delivered by non-physicians
Should people who are not able to work not have any insurance options? Or do you think everyone should pay $1k a month?

Should insurance companies be allowed to have $1 million maximums and kick off people during their cancer treatment?

Let’s hear some prices from your wife’s botique?

You are barking at the wrong tree. US healthcare system is shit because there is too many mouths of middleman to feed.

codeTired··on A fourth of U.S. health visits now delivered by non-physicians
I’m so fed up with doctors it’s not even funny.

I’ve had positive test showing nerve damage. Doctor messages me saying all my tests were fine. I message them in the portal pointing out one of tests showing insufficient sweating means small fiber neuropathy. They confirm I am correct. Then, I have to tell them what meds to prescribe, that the dosage is too small. It was like pulling nails.

I have seen physicians at top facilities in the US. Some are better some are there for prestige and paycheck.

We need to collect symptoms using words and visual representation, not everyone will know what tingling feels like. I welcome AI.

Also, if you search an illness and look for support groups you will quickly find handful of “recommended” physicians in a country.

Someone needs to find the people who are the most against it and then follow up when they get brain cancer, als, or other terminal disease that causes a lot of suffering.

It’s easy to have a strong opinion against this when the last time you went to a physician was 10 years ago.

codeTired··on YouTube's Anti-Adblock and uBlock Origin
You are still served ads in videos. It sucks paying for premium and your content creators use 3 minutes of 15 minute video to promote “nordVpn”.
codeTired··on Apple backs national right-to-repair bill, offering parts, manuals, and tools
When can I buy parts at a reasonable cost?
codeTired··on Rivian R1T is the first EV to win the longest off-road competition in the US
Good thing to keep in mind imo.
codeTired··on Why Children of Married Parents Do Better
You’ve got some stats for this? People are still getting married. The divorce rates are not 100%.

Your post seems a bit out of touch with reality imo. It’s a very “internet” opinion, which according to statistics is not true.

codeTired··on Rivian R1T is the first EV to win the longest off-road competition in the US
A dent is much different than a 45mph crash. At that speed you have to replace half of the car. We have done those at our shop on an occasion. It’s rare as it’s a pricy repair.
codeTired··on Rivian R1T is the first EV to win the longest off-road competition in the US
It’s best to off-road in a reasonably built car, like a Land Cruiser or a bronco.
codeTired··on Rivian R1T is the first EV to win the longest off-road competition in the US
Just be careful not to dent quarter panels on a rivian. It’s something like $40k to replace. Normally a $2k-$3k job on any other pick up truck.

These car companies suck when it becomes to repairability.

Edit: I’m not going to argue with naysayers below, this dude was quoted $41k but was able to PDR(https://www.thedrive.com/news/41000-rivian-fender-bender-act...). Tesla repairs with giga casting are also a lot more expensive than similar “regular” cars. This isn’t an issue of unibody design. My family owned a body shop and I painted cars for few years.

I will stick with main stream brands like Toyota.

codeTired··on Who profits most from America's baffling health-care system?
Because many people in US forums cannot get the medication due to cost. This would benefit everyone.
codeTired··on Who profits most from America's baffling health-care system?
I’m actually exploring legality of shipping meds from EU to us directly to patients.

There is a compounded med that isn’t covered by insurance and I wonder if I could find a pharmacy in my homeland(Poland) to compound and ship it directly to patients. I have found some places that apparently do it but the sites are bad and don’t seem legit.

codeTired··on Injured Gaza baby photo proven to be AI-generated
Realistically what should US do for Gazans?

An organization ruling Gaza has killed Americans on Israeli ground. Israel declared war on Gaza. They are US ally.

codeTired··on Top Crypto Firms Named in $1B Fraud Lawsuit
Crypto and fraud is now a very iconic duo, just like Romeo and Juliet.
codeTired··on Ask HN: Do tools like Copilot or ChatGPT4 help you code?
I’ve been using chatgpt 3.5 for a few weeks now. Absolutely amazing for me.

I am a full stack dev and I know what is possible but may not remember syntax. I just tell chatgpt what code I need and it spits out an example.

It helps with emails too and writing.

I don’t copy paste generally though.

It has not been very good for me for errors though. Google searching stackoveflow is generally better for me.

codeTired··on Real-Estate Commissions Could Be the Next Fee on the Chopping Block
Real estate agents are completely useless imo.

I was buying a home in a desired neighborhood. My agent would call days after the property came on the market. I set up notifications on Redfin and was getting instant notifications. I would call him and request we see a home.

As someone knowledgeable about construction the shit agents say is often wrong. It’s in their interest to sell you the home.

Need a marketplace for private sellers. Someone comes out to take pics at fixed cost and maybe does the description. Lawyer helps will all the legal crap. And the seller is 6% richer.

codeTired··on LinkedIn is laying off nearly 700 employees
Nice! The name implies the jobs will be flexible? I need some more of those.
codeTired··on Interviews in the Age of AI: Ditch Leetcode – Try Code Reviews Instead
I never said I didn’t grind or I won’t grind to move up. It doesn’t change my opinion.
codeTired··on Interviews in the Age of AI: Ditch Leetcode – Try Code Reviews Instead
I’m willing to grind if you present me with a real life problem you need solving. I’m not willing to run on a hamster wheel, it seems illogical to me.
codeTired··on Interviews in the Age of AI: Ditch Leetcode – Try Code Reviews Instead
Because adults with hobbies and families have better things to do. How is this so hard to grasp? Bonus is that 90% of devs literally will not use most of that knowledge.

My biggest problems are getting requirements, understanding the problem, working around a legacy system or deciphering old code, not actually writing code when requirements and documentation is on point.

codeTired··on Interviews in the Age of AI: Ditch Leetcode – Try Code Reviews Instead
What if I told you any large organization can be incompetent? Not saying they are, but there becomes a point in a corporations life when it becomes full of people who flock to it due to prestige and pay. The original founders are often out of the picture and their original product is beginning to turn into shit.
