I appreciate the empathy and the context. It definitely helps.

> I spent some time working as a consultant

Did you consult on your own or work with a company? If you were on your own, how did you find clients? I've got a business entity ready to go and am heading to meetups to try and network. What else should I be doing?

> I was a consultant so was ready While I'm enduring this current layoff I'm thinking about consulting for local businesses in my town.

Any tips on how to get this off the ground? I've got the business entity set up and I'm going to meetups to try and network. What else should I be doing to land my first clients?

I wish they would’ve focused a bit more on how it impacts athletic performance

As a runner, I would imagine anything that brings smoke into your lungs (assuming that’s how it’s ingested) would make them less efficient at gas exchange and consequently any aerobic exercise like running

Nothing against the stuff, just guessing it impacts performance

I’m not a shipping expert by any means but if any country in the world would have a shipping route to it, surely it would be China no?

They manufacture basically everything and export a ton

Why was China paying so much more? Just to ensure they would have enough for their needs?

Given the pricing for the lower and mid-tier I wonder if this will force Rivian to lower their prices on their R1T

> If Samsung was told "You can't let anyone pay you - have to show a screen with four competitors and let the user pick which one they want as default"

What if I’m the 20th or 50th? Do I deserve a shot? If not where is the cut off? How do I become a winner and not a loser in this situation as the first N shown will have a huge growth advantage

I was scammed out of a few grand in a moving scam a few years ago over Zelle, via my bank

Does this mean I can get that money back? Who do I talk to/where do I go to do so? My bank? Zelle itself?

Hi Peter,

I’m an entrepreneur looking to start a business in the EU so I can sell to people in that market.

If location in a specific country doesn’t matter to me, what’s the path of least friction to getting long term residency and a business started?

the path of least friction to EU citizenship assuming my business adds value to the EU?

I’ve just started a single member LLC in SC, and I’d like to contract with a company in Florida. I will be working predominantly from SC remotely, but may end up in FL for an onsite every once in a while.

Do I need to _also_ set up an LLC in Florida to make this work or is my SC LLC sufficient?

If yes, do I need to do this in all 50 states if I want to do business with entities in each, or how do individuals acting as contractors handle that?

Is that _money_ going to be used to clean it from the water?
