I had a similar problem trying to get my address added to Google Maps and other platforms! I live in the US, and the post office changed my address (new number and street name) when a new road was cut in near my house. It was incredibly frustrating! I tried on and off for weeks submitting reports, which were all closed or ignored. I figured out that if you create a business, Google will let you put in the address of the business and drop a pin on the map where the business is. They do not verify if the street address was previously in their database. So I created a fake business on Google and gave it my home address, and dropped a pin on my house. It showed up on the map within hours. Kind of hacky, but problem solved. Good luck!
There are some really good Retro68 code examples out there as well. I started compiling a list here, including a couple of my own: https://henlin.net/2021/12/21/Cool-Retro68-projects/
As a few other folks have said, the inside Macintosh books are extremely valuable references for Mac-specific code. I keep pdfs of them open the whole time I’m working on my Macintosh projects.

That's really not true at all. Generally, as braking systems pick up heat, they become continually less and less efficient at slowing the car down and will eventually stop working entirely. This will be especially true when fighting against an engine running at wide open throttle. It's called brake fade.

In addition to the github repository, I wrote an introduction blog post about it here: https://henlin.net/2022/02/26/Introducing-Messages-for-Macin.... I've also outlined the development workflow on to other posts at https://henlin.net/2021/12/03/a-simplified-guide-to-developm... and https://henlin.net/2022/02/26/Messages-for-Macintosh-Develop....
Let me know if you have any questions or decide to try it out on your Macintosh, I'd love to hear about it.
For your first question, it sounds like you made a mistake by starting without having an equity grant to sign. It seems like you’ve done this before, so you probably already knew that most equity grants (in my experience) are made out in writing in conjunction with your employment contract. It sounds like you signed and accepted an employment contract with no equity grant and were given an equity grant at a later date. I don’t think it’s normal to wait 6 months for an equity contract, from what I’ve seen.
For question two, I agree that generally the details of the grant are normally not in an offer letter but you’ll get some high level items. The details are generally in the grant paperwork.
Lastly, if you feel like the company did you wrong, why not tell them that you feel like it was wrong and what they could do to fix the situation? If you’re not comfortable with that or have already tried it, maybe it’s time to move on.
Personally it does sound somewhat underhanded to me, and I would likely be looking for a new role. It’s a hot job market right now and there’s no shame in moving on quickly from a role that’s not a good fit.
