Wonder why issues like this are so common - do they just de-prioritize vulnerabilities reported by researchers to death?

Even then, there'd probably be a better time for a politics detox week than the current week, since it will be so impossibly difficult to not discuss the goings on. I mean, these are historic times (in the US, with international repercussions).
Tech created by white folk, who bring in their own biases, will lead to problematic tech. It's a difficult pill to swallow, but it exists.

In normal situations, they would've discussed her conditions with her, and told her that they couldn't accommodate it. When people resign, they normally give two weeks+ notice. She was on vacation, and wasn't even aware that they'd "accepted" her resignation, effective immediately.

I'm reading The Trouble with Physics (2007) now, and it's about the same themes (lack of progress in physics since ~1980s [besides higgs boson i guess]).
Overall though, seems that human advances, for the sake of humanity, have fallen by the wayside for...stuff like the red-bull sponsored jump
