Something like:
> Is your comment respectful & helpful? > Is it positive criticism?
Please?
My wife has done the napping in the car bit earlier in her career.
Most others at work feel awkward about taking naps - even with me evangelising naps :o)
Can you help get overseas projects?
Can you setup a profile on eLance/etc where he can get projects?
Can you get an investment from Kiva or another crowd-funding site?
I would much rather prefer a robust commercial entity behind my service providers (+ the super credible technical capability of Colin), than Colin alone.
Exploiting this requires a client that sends a malicious Heartbeat packet with a large payload size.
This is unlikely to have happened in the past without any malice.
Read earlyretirementextreme or mrmoneymustache to see how you can get out of the rat race as fast as possible, and get back into doing startups (if that's what is exciting to you)
And if they invest it at 2.5% + inflation, they'd never run out their capital either.
So your conclusion is incorrect.
The way I see it, land (+ house) provides inherent value - ala equity in a stock, and unlike gold or cash. So buying a house, is an investment, since it'll presumably last beyond your lifetime, and continue to deliver value.
Unltd agents on all plans, * $19 for 300 tickets/m, * $49 for 1000 t/m * $149 for 5000 t/m * $349 for 15K t/m
Could this be where they're trying to move towards a more mainstream market?
They did take VC funding, and they may need to show growth in the mainstream market to their investors.
It's excellent PR because it creates a coherent David Vs Goliath narrative that journos will buy and so will the bulk of the non-technical populace. A few more variations of this in different publications, and you'll see that it might seep into the public consciousness.
But not entirely sure that the arguments presented in this article are valid and would sway a technical crowd.
Given how trivial it was just now for me to switch to DDG in Chrome, I don't see how that's anti-competitive.
1. Open Source OS
2. Open Source web server
3. Open Source programming language
4. Open Source web framework
5. Some (relatively) simple customer support ticketing app [not likely to be a system pounding Gorilla]
And they claim that they've not been able to root-cause a Kernel panic and a framework slowdown?
And they've spent $100K on that with no results to show for it?
That sounds really strange to me.
[I've debugged Linux kernel panics on custom stacks, with no disk/logs, only console, 32MB of RAM, PPC cross-compiled - and never run into a dead-end like this]
But those same artists can now create a hundred or thousand individually different Wookies or Tie Fighters or many fully animated Na'avi [or Gungan].
The creativity is not lost - it's now massively leveraged.
The order starts off explaining why she earlier thought she should take up the case, and force Motorola to specific FRAND licensing terms.
Motorola then demanded that Apple agree to the Judge's determination of the specific licensing terms.
When Apple then said they'd only take the licensing terms set by the Judge as an upper-bound, and agree to the licensing terms only if it was under a dollar per phone, the Judge realized that any trial would only serve as a negotiating strategy for Apple setting an upper-bound, and that the subject under trial was far too complex for the Judge to issue a specific performance, and was more amenable to a binding arbitration.
The court would be resolving all of the issues raised
in this case without necessarily bringing the
parties any closer to a license agreement.
In effect, Apple was asking the court to assist it in
negotiating, not in putting the parties’ dispute to rest.
It's great to read how the Judge modified her thought process as the trial went along [for 18 months], and how Apple's strategy backfired when Motorola demanded that the outcome of the trial be binding on Apple. For those of you who thought that Motorola has been violating the law on its FRAND obligations this is a reality-check.
The order is a relatively easy read, and quite candid in showing how a Judge would change her thoughts as a case progressed through many stages.

are just the latest on throwing this FRAND case out.
I believe that given that 95%+ of what we use a smart phone for these days benefits from a larger screen with higher resolution [not to mention increased input choices], moving to the largest screen possible [while maintaining a 24hr battery cycle, and being able to put it in a pocket] is inevitable.
Low budget users will settle for smaller phones with same features. High budget users will go for the largest phone they can hold.
All this changes with Google Glass, or a holographic projection system :)
Nexus 10 - clearly better than the iPad on price, display (resolution, size, aspect ratio), sound, Wifi, RAM, GPS. Battery life is unknown though, GPU likely to be worse.
Nexus 7 - beats the iPad Mini on price and resolution, matches on most other things.
