It depends on the what the browsers end up doing. If they just surface a select your search engine dialog during set up, most people will just select google and nothing will have changed besides the cost. If they set a non-google search engine by default, they will lose ad revenue because of people not bothering to change the default.
I think you're spot on. I'm not generally a fan of Rolex, but I really like this. Feels like the first release to live up to their brand in a while. I think you're right about the hexagons too, I didn't care for them at first but they have already grown on me.
The net-neutrality rules that were just overturned would have actually allowed the FCC to grant regional monopolies. It's almost like FCC was created in part to maintain ATT's relationship with the government.
This is pretty much a trend across our entire government. Our elected officials legislate their responsibilities away so they don't need to make actual decisions that could harm them politically.
This doesn't require a constitutional amendment. It requires a law granting the FCC the ability to regulate isp's in this way or a law instituting net-neutrality. These "net-neutrality" regulations were always in a legal gray area and a wasted effort by the activists pushing them without understanding anything besides "net-neutrality good".
This thread shows how much people misunderstand the key issue about this ruling. So many people talking about net-neutrality as if it was ever something actually implemented, when it was just a federal agency applying rules not designed or written for the internet and calling it net-neutrality. Net-neutrality is important, but it should be properly written into a law instead of just applying old regulations to the internet that were designed for a completely different system.
Exactly, the interchange fee is split between the issuing bank(largest cut), acquiring bank, and the network(smallest cut). Yet everybody acts like visa is just skimming 2% from every transaction without them getting anything in return while they have created entire lifestyles and communities around hacking credit card offers.
The Democrats have yet to remove or seriously call for Senator Menendez to resign for serious corruption and obvious crimes while the Republicans removed Santos for campaign lies knowing a Democrat would replace him.
We're not doing waterfall, but we're going to plan out every little detail of a change into small parts and plan out how many sprints it should take to do them all and split that work across the team so that you are always relying on someone else's work or somebody is waiting on you to start something.
Don't forget that getting Apple to stop intercepting your text messages is always a problem. I know a bunch of people who decided to try and switch to android, but they weren't getting their text messages and just went back to an iphone inside of a week.
The anti-poaching thing was something completely different. That was preventing other companies from hiring people away from them because they were useful employees, not hiring people to prevent them from competing. Also, anti-poaching agreement kept salaries lower, it didn't inflate them.
