bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site
Thank you, yeah I would definitely have a lot to learn from that !

We thought about doing a Facebook app but ToS seem not very friendly with apps doing anonymous action :)

bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site
Thank you for the idea :) We thought about adding a "store" for when there was a match but I have to admit that we never thought about doing that at the sending !

We definitely have a lot of options to explore !

bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site
love to hear that :)

Do you remember the name of the website back then?

bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site
Ok it's automatically redirecting to the english version now. Thank you !
bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site
We wanted to simplify the website as much as possible so we limited to one account = one email . But other users requested that feature so we gonna add it in the coming days.

Thank you for your feedback :)

bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site

bjonathan··on Show HN: my new project, an anti-snub dating site
Hi fellow HNers,

I wanted to show you our new project: SecretPoke.com .

As big shy people ourselves and with Valentine's day coming up, we wanted an easy, anonymous and fun way to reach out to our crushes :)

We would love your feedback as much on the concept than on the execution (name, copy, design,...). We built it in less than 10 days and we are ready to modify the website quickly to take your feedback into account!

I also hope that SecretPoke will come handy to some of you ;)

As a thank you for your feedback, and for all what HN taught me during the past year, here is a code to have 3 more crushes for free: thankyouhn . You can enter it on the homepage when you are logged in.

Thank again, we are eager to hear what you think !

bjonathan··on Android Market Web Store just Launched
This Market is a good news BUT it seems so much like an unfinish product. That another proof of the difference in the attention to details between iOS and Android.

This is a screenshot of the Market from France: http://i.imgur.com/lchpI.jpg

Half the page is in the french, half the page is in english and IMO the worst is the "~" before the price (they convert $/€ so it's ROUGH price wtf! ). The website doesnt feel that it can be trust IMO if you look to it like a John Doe.

This is definitely a step in the good direction but please Google please polish a little more your android products so that they appeal the masses!!

bjonathan··on MailChimp now free up to 2000 subscribers
I dont worry for Mailchimp, when I see the pricing difference between Amazon SES* and them (even if it's not the same product I know and agree)

bjonathan··on New Pricing Plan For Mozy
Wow, I'm a Mozy Customer and I didnt received an email about that... Mozy is going to be expensive for me for now on...

Do you know other unlimited backup solutions beside Mozy and Carbonite ( www.carbonite.com) ?

bjonathan··on SendGrid Responds to Amazon's Simple Email Service
This is an extract from "Do More Faster" wrote by Isaac Saldana, the CEO of SendGrid:

"When I offered dozens of companies SendGrid for $100 per month, they all said yes. I raised the price to $300 per month, and they all said yes. $500?—yes. Today, we are working with hundreds of companies, including well-known ones like Foursquare, Gowalla, and GetSatisfaction. When you're selling a solution to a problem and you find that nobody is saying no to your prices, you've found some serious pain. We're building SendGrid to solve a very specific problem that I discovered just by paying attention."

I guess it's time to change...

I'm a customer of sendgrid but I have to admit not a really happy one (the website is shitty, the search is working half of the time, and I have the 20$ plan with heroku which mean that my mails are send about 30min after my request because apparently on shared IP we need to wait...)

bjonathan··on How To Use Amazon EC2 as Your Desktop
2noobs questions:

bjonathan··on Ask HN: Do you remember a front end testing tool?

bjonathan··on Top 250 cracked Gawker passwords
Thank you both for your answers! I wasnt being sarcastic at all, my poor brain didn't seem prepare to spot a Fibonacci sequence in a list of "Top Gawker passwords" .
bjonathan··on Top 250 cracked Gawker passwords
70 => 11235813

I am curious is there a particular reason behind the fact that 70 people choosed that number for their password?

This number seems completely random to me so I dont understand the how and the why.

bjonathan··on DotCloud (YC S10) Mix and Match Cloud Platform Launches

good luck to fix the bug, you have a great product!

bjonathan··on Ask HN: Do You Use an Ad Server?
Thank you for the details Bobby! I will take a look to Isorocket.

Although I have to admit that for the moment the free limit of DFP is way above what we need everymonth. But I hope that it will change soon ;)

bjonathan··on Ask HN: Do You Use an Ad Server?
Thank you I didnt know that Google had an ad server !!
bjonathan··on ShowHN: November proj (little late) Wetwork app

bjonathan··on Show HN: Our (two) weekend project: 365.io - A photo a day for one year.
Great design! And I love the idea even if I'm not a big photo guy myself.

11$ seems a fair price if I'm hooked to your product but I need to try it before. Maybe you can offer a free plan, or give a trial period (10days for example).

Also I think that you should put your "View a sample collection" way higher in your homepage.

Good luck! I really love what you did, your design and your logo are awesome :)

bjonathan··on What’s Next for Delicious?
This blog post claim to be destinate at the users of Delicious but it screams all over it "IF YOU HAVE MONEY AND WANT TO BUY US, PLEASE REACH US BY MAIL". Sad.

Hope, they sell it to Joshu or somebody who really cares

bjonathan··on Making registration simple and social in just a few steps
