bjoe_lewis··on How to Learn JavaScript Properly
I learned from K&R too, and seriously, no book ever told me how closely arrays and pointers were related (atleast, whatever books I read), as TCPL. I don't find anything wrong with recommending it to 'programmers' who begin C.
bjoe_lewis··on Curiosity images strange metallic-looking object on Mars
So you just want to see all religions on earth, dead.
bjoe_lewis··on Microsoft looking to release Office for Linux in 2014
>because Microsoft is reportedly already working on Office for Android. Android, as you may already know, is a Linux-based operating system, meaning a lot of the porting work will have already been done

Well, I thought linux just bases the kernel of the operating system(Android), in which case porting Microsoft Office has nothing to do with porting to desktop linus, unless it's written in C :)

bjoe_lewis··on What's produced more value: Y Combinator's investments or Hacker News?
Well, Just hours back I attended a campus recruitment drive from a core development company(probably my last chance, in college to get in the industry) and I failed. I came home depressed of whatabouts of my future, I opened hacker news and all of a sudden, the world seems a bigger place with way more space, than it was a few minutes ago!
bjoe_lewis··on How I Failed, Failed, and Finally Succeeded at Learning How to Code
The 'Reverse Education' Concept. Incredible.
bjoe_lewis··on I'm sorry
yes a mistake, and he corrected it in his "N.B". Thus the chain stops.
bjoe_lewis··on Send a Facebook message to anyone's inbox, for free
and you never get a random beautiful girl's email address straight away, peter.
bjoe_lewis··on Remember Aaron Swartz (1986 – 2013)
He's born just 5 years earlier than me but had done some real incredible stuff. hats off Aaron.
bjoe_lewis··on Deconstructing K&R C (2010)
if this is true, then I'm going to take C more seriously. I have to move myself forward from TurboC programming.
bjoe_lewis··on Ask HN : What do you do when you feel like a loser?
I'm 21 and still feel exactly the same, except without "$$, job and status"
bjoe_lewis··on Hamming: "dubious that great programmers can be trained.."
I would like him speak to Peter Norvig.
bjoe_lewis··on I created this small app for you, if you like to write

bjoe_lewis··on Education App for the Modern Classroom
Basically what clipp is trying to do is replace papers and notebooks, with iPad screens. Well, in a country like America, that indeed is a giant step to put education forward. But, here in India we students and teachers alike, cannot afford an iPad. So if the app was basically a cloud solution with a HTML5/jAVASCRIPT sort of interface, it would be easy to port to different platforms and can be used in much affordable tablets. Anyway being a college geek, +1 for clipp.
bjoe_lewis··on Whats your Startup / App Ideas for 2013?
A Photo Track Mobile App, essentially a life history Log.
bjoe_lewis··on Why does this C program compile?
Is it a bad code, or otherwise?
bjoe_lewis··on I am depressed and I need someone to talk to
>I've learnt a good technique where I just work on being angry. Doesn't matter what about, even just at myself for being depressed. When I get to angry, I'm not feeling despair anymore. I allow myself to focus on being angry for a while but then that turns into frustration. Then I just become annoyed. And before I realise I'm not depressed anymore. I try to do this, a lot and trust me it works!
bjoe_lewis··on Learn a Programming Language Faster by Copying Unix
My first usable program in python was an implementation of 'wget' and seriously, implementation of such unix based commands do teach you an awesome lot.
