First it’s pay, no ads. Then it’s higher tier for no ads. Then it’s higher tier no ads but watch a trailer at the beginning. Then it’s higher tier and ads.
I strongly disagree with this statement. Even at the most bubbly of Silicon Valley events you will not see kubernetes for a smaller deployment be an industry standard.
It’s ok to make architectural mistakes, or otherwise over engineer a thing. We all do it. Let’s not standardize it.
And to your credit thank you for publishing this example as a learning opportunity to others.
The ball is in the court of the enterprise purchaser mandating the auditing company and they don’t give a ** if your dev team has to hot swap a yaml parsing library
By comparison a larger resolution and UI restrictions on controls and apps make this outcome safer. A lot of apps and gestures on a phone don’t work in auto mode.
For that I use squirrel which uses the builder pattern to compose sql strings. Keeping it as strings and interfaces allow it to be very easily extended, for example I was able to customize it to speak SOQL (salesforce). plenty of downide though.
If the remaster only improves video and audio fidelity sure. But they may also swap out characters, personalities, and plot points, based on the whims of the studio.
AI controlled by major powerbrokers is going to further the aims of those power brokers.
The foreign, domestic, and economic policies of both potential presidents are different. Are you really arguing that they have negligible differences?
In office work is prone to the same difficulty in different forms. You don’t think people were alt-tabbing in the office? Taking really long lunches or coffee breaks? Tying one or more drinks on during those breaks? Clocking out mentally if not physically by 2 on Fridays?
Then you have the whole gym owner archetype which I won’t dive into but IMO exasperates the issue.
But the older I get, the more I realize this habit isn't necessary. It's not beneficial to society, and if someone feels the need for coffee, they should really reconsider their lifestyle and find something more productive to do.
If there was a way to completely eliminate the culture of coffee consumption, I'd support it. Might even take action myself if I could. I don't want my kids to grow up in a world obsessed with coffee.
There are so many better and healthier alternatives available. And yes, I understand not everyone has it easy. I certainly didn't, coming from a 3rd world country, but I still chose other options. That's no excuse, though. It's honestly quite demeaning and foolish when well-off people treat coffee drinking as something essential.
I guess we need to give advance notice to traffic spikes if that is an abnormal historical occurrence for our accounts.
While this particular usage is less about a specific AI act and yes buying increased access on social media (where most users naively assume fair access) isnt new - I personally and fucking terrified of where we’ll be at just a year from now.

Hell just high speed rail could encourage populating less desirable areas if a 30 minute trip to the beach was a weekend event.
Like they’re fixing workplace culture by careening rotary aircraft around the room?
Tip for getting off weed - start by lowering the damn dosage. A lot of commonly used products are the equivalent of a triple shot. And folks do it daily.
Do you have a high amount of ambient stress in your life? Existential fears? Past traumas? Unfulfilled responsibilities? Debt?
And arguably they SHOULD be exposed to this content if we want our society to be versed enough to just maybe take steps to fight it.
Seriously go to an expensive event like the Cowboys v 49ers game or Taylor Swift concert and look around. It’s not a bunch of millionaires pow wowing around.
