My second paragraph is meant to show a possible other explanation why the Chinese didn't want foreigners snooping around their bio labs: in my belief the same evasiveness the Chinese has/had would apply to the USA if China wanted to visit and have unlimited access (for a thorough investigation) of American bio labs.
And I'm not talking about whether American journalists would be arrested. I'm just talking about the evasiveness about the labs.
If the outbreak started in Colorado, and Russia wanted access to the CDC lab there, Americans (officials and public) would also be crying and screaming...
So if I got a negative test in July and a positive one yesterday, and I want to fly somewhere, it seems I can just copy the QR code from the test in July and paste it into a Word document that says "The test was performed on January 10, 2022, and the result is available through this link: [QR code with the link to the results from July 2021]". And it seems this document doctoring (with a document with a result that allows unvaxed entry) is what Team Djokovic has done.
Just to protect my ego when this is downvoted and flagged to death: watch this comment get downvoted, because even HN has too many such numbnuts.
Lufthansa's interest is piqued. They already price out competitors, they've bought many smaller airlines (even the "national" airlines Swiss and Austria) and operate them at slim to negative margins to keep the workers quiet (the threat of bankruptcy prevents them from rebelling too much)..
One thing I wonder is if everyone's getting a pay cut, or if they just got a net 25% raise on their hourly rates.
I guess if 94% of employees liked it[1], there was no pay cut involved...

Even China has a lot of undocumented births, because of the 1-child-policy: https://thediplomat.com/2015/03/chinas-hidden-children/ (IMO the accepted "legend" that there were a lot of abortions just demonized the Chinese, whether nefariously or on purpose)
And so is jetting off somewhere for holidays.. realistically we need to cut down so much to survive, but so far everyone is working on "it's future society's problem".
Only when the threat of death was within weeks did humans actually react with lockdowns, etc...
Who the fuck is this guy writing that stupid ass article... How about you solve the problem of terrible American driving, and lack of winter tyre regulations. Hah, he takes Norway as an example, the country where you have to learn ice driving conditions to get your license..
The Merkel government was just a unprincipled opportunistic one, although I do credit her for having the guts to say "Syrian refugees can stay"; she took the morally correct decision, not the politically expedient one. But her previous steps before that like championing austerity (anyone remember the PIIGS problem?) ensured that her populace got really pissed off, imagine seeing your conservative government stripping away money for social programs for decades (while the elite get richer), and then suddenly saying "we can afford to host refugees"...
If I can throw my second impression, what a little shit. But maybe I'm too much of corporate conformist...
TL; DR: photos were from a loaner phone that was never wiped that OP backed up, and then restored onto his new phone.
TL;DR: he's an idiot.
A bit longer: OP went to a shop to get his phone repaired. Shop gave him a loaner phone, which had been used by many many people and apparently never wiped. OP set up Google backup on that phone and those photos got uploaded onto his WhatsApp backup. OP got a new phone, set up WhatsApp, and WhatsApp downloaded the pics from the loaner phone onto his.
I remember people attaching comments to headlines on cnn.com's homepage, although that page changes frequently. And of course the comments were political. Hey OP, how will you prevent the lunatics from attacking sites like whitehouse.gov?
Edit: the fact that a screenshot of your app shows the page "CNN Facts First: Fact check: Five enduring lies about the Capitol [...]" (showing people they can comment on/criticize/flame war such pages), and that you've mentioned Gab's Dissenter, doesn't inspire me with confidence about your leanings. I sound like a McCarthyist, but well...
Technically it's possible that: my client encrypts the file with locally generated key A and uploads it to WhatsApp's server. The server returns a URL. My client takes key A, and sends it to Bob along with the URL, and this message is encrypted with Bob's public key.
When I want to send the same file to Charlie, or Bob wants to send it to Dominic, my or Bob's client just needs the URL, and the key A...
My first suspicion would be, "Define new". OP and you could be working on 2 different definitions of that word.
I've actually bought a new phone once and it had someone's list of phone numbers. It still looked pretty new, so I guess someone bought it, used it for a week or two and returned it. I was just annoyed at the scummy seller...
I guess I should do my own research.
On this laptop I can't even see the F1-F12 label near those keys (from the video, also from The Verge writer[1]), so, what's next, will they have their own version of "How to use Excel" that says "If you want to edit a cell's contents, press Fn-Mute"? Hooray for the stupidification of the computer.
Oh, I spoke to soon, at 1:56 [2] the backlight does change from backlighting the icons to backlighting Fx "keys" in between them. But my complaint remains, now a user and tech support has another hurdle of "I don't see the F2 key" because they both don't realise they have to press the Fn key...
