This has all the problems of the first-gen Apple Touchbar and none of the benefits (being, essentially, an "iPad Nano" under the screen) of the original.
It's baffling that something like this can reach the market.
On this laptop I can't even see the F1-F12 label near those keys (from the video, also from The Verge writer[1]), so, what's next, will they have their own version of "How to use Excel" that says "If you want to edit a cell's contents, press Fn-Mute"? Hooray for the stupidification of the computer.
Oh, I spoke to soon, at 1:56 [2] the backlight does change from backlighting the icons to backlighting Fx "keys" in between them. But my complaint remains, now a user and tech support has another hurdle of "I don't see the F2 key" because they both don't realise they have to press the Fn key...
