This. I haven't tried anything complex but so far Prisma 2 has just been amazing. The API is just so clean and simple.

Reminds me of this anecdote[0], where the person 'lived' an entirely different life while he was lying unconscious on the ground.

Is that presentation about self-sovereign identity available online?

Pretty impressive you learned all this and implemented in just 30 days.

> Test market in 2 weeks for < $100

Could you elaborate on that one? Are you referring to landing page + ads?

Does anyone know of something like N26 but for Asian countries?

> Speaking at the panel discussion with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and representatives of the IT industry in Innopolis

Wait, wasn't Durov in bad terms with the Russian government and exiled?

> Don’t keep “Logs” (similar to print) when building for production!

Aren't we supposed to log exceptions in production? How would you know if your software has unknown problems otherwise?

I happen to be on that camp. Despite having anxiety I haven't been able to outright quite coffee. I also have mild hypothyroid so coffee helps to overcome fatigue. However, I have reduced to about 1-2 cups/day from about 4 cups/day.

Social networks are becoming walled garden so it's kind of tough to crawl them. I mean look at Facebook and Instagram, the biggest social networks. They have robots.txt configured to disallow any crawlers.

Facebook also used have RSS feed for public pages and posts. Now they've not only removed that feature but also have heavy restrictions for third apps.

Search. Google results are now full of SEO optimized low quality affiliate garbage.

I have been receiving emails from HDFC bank intended for someone else. And I've never even been to India.

Its all sorts of email like OTP and statements and other stuff.

The email always comes from noreply@hdfcbank.net, so I haven't been able to report about it either.

How did you find your early users?

$1500/month is a lot in 3rd world countries. Senior engineers in my country get paid somewhere between $800 - $1500 (maybe even less due to weakening of currency).

What metrics do you use for web applications and services? I mean with mobile app, you have downloads and ratings. But for web apps, you have no such thing.

As someone in a similar situation to OP, I really appreciate this advice. Thanks.

Refactoring UI.

Very pragmatic and approachable for us developers who may not have much idea about design. If you want 'good enough' design for your side project but don't want to use templates, this is the book you'd want to read. The book is a bit expensive though.

I'd would love an invite as well. vpul<dot>chaudhary<at>gmail

This is really amazing. Just found short pronounceable domain name for my side project. Thank you for building this.

This applies to Reddit too to some extent:

AskReddit => Quora

MillionaireMakers => PoolTogether

Deals/Free/DiscountedProducts => SlickDeals, HotUKDeals

SideProject => Product Hunt

BuyForLife => goodcheapandfast.com

These are what I could remember top of my head. I'm sure there are others.

I think /r/mealtimevideos could be an independent service on its own.

Can you post the link to the tiny free VPS you're using? I was thinking of using Heroku free tier but the 'cold start' latency is too much.

I like https://www.colorsandfonts.com/. It has a lot of color options such as gradients, contrasts, pallets, and has font pairings too.

Speaking of bookmarks, I'm curious how you organize your bookmarks and personal knowledge base. I'm currently using Evernote, and it's ok, but I'm looking for something better.

I don't know why but the Spinner video reminded me of the Friendface ad[1]. Maybe because both are hilarious in some ways and horrifying.

How did you market your websites?

Tildes seems to be pretty interesting. It is developed by ex-reddit employee and is non-profit and open-source. Currently, it is in invite-only alpha.

Canonical is another one.

You can also get GPU instances at much cheaper rates from Hetzner and OVH.
