And you've also learned something about aluminum extrusions!
I'm very confused at the aluminum frame - it would have been far easier to just buy a $5 (?) piece of pine (or equivalent softwood) to make the back frame. The pine can also be customized with a handsaw. I guess I would have rather spent more money on the visible part (walnut planks instead of a used countertop?) than the invisible part.
Given the decades of emphasis on clearing / preventing amyloids I would be fairly jaded. If someone (biotech) wants to spend $$$ chasing this down, good on them.
But a paper curing a mouse model of a human neurological disease does not move the needle for someone with or watching someone suffer from this disease.
The M5 equivalent is now $1300. 1TB requires the CPU upgrade.
EV charging infrastructure is at about 10 years.
Where I live, there is an off-street bike path that was completed about 10 years ago. Since then many new businesses have opened along the path. The economic impact of pulling people OUT OF A CAR and INTO THEIR environment is perhaps under-appreciated.
The number of users to such sites is (often) measured in dozens of people per day.
I'm a bioinformatician, not a web developer, and Shiny has been a great tool to share my work with something I'm already familiar with (R).
(I'd share a site I've made with Shiny but I'm pretty certain it'd explode with hundreds of concurrent visitors - but that's OK! I get dozens of visitors a day and don't expect any more)
The Air is barely more compact than the Pro (look up the specs, it is a bit thinner on one side and is 0.25 pounds lighter).
The MacBook is a true ultraportable laptop (it is 0.75 pounds lighter than the Air) - sad that Apple doesn't sell one now.
