__m··on TSMC's Arizona Trials Put Plant Productivity on Par with Taiwan
Bad news for Taiwan, I don’t understand why they did that
__m··on [dead]
that's a bad take, you can't possibly seriously see no difference between publishing this material and viewing it in order to prosecute the criminals
__m··on Stranded astronauts' capsule heads home without them
They literally risk their life to go to space, I’m sure they‘ll be fine with it.
__m··on Show HN: We built a FOSS documentation CMS with a pretty GUI
Are you also using prosemirror like outline?
__m··on Tesla says will launch Full Self Driving in Europe and China early next year
Just Tesla hyping the stock as usual. Pending regulatory approval is a big if and I hope they don’t get it. Beta testing on public streets without even accepting liability is unacceptable.
__m··on Starlink U-turns, will block X in Brazil after all
No, the same principle applies here. China can choose what they allow in their country.
__m··on Starlink U-turns, will block X in Brazil after all
Websites that don’t adhere to the laws of said government. If they don’t like it they can fight it in a court of law, not on twitter
__m··on NIH cancels ‘Havana syndrome’ research, citing unethical coercion
Wait till you hear about 5G! People have been reporting headaches just as the cell towers went up, they didn't even have to turn them on
__m··on Tesla recalls 1.8M cars because their hoods can open while driving
I think an additional Recall message in the dash would be a good idea. I wouldn't change the name, it's an established name and everybody knows its significance. Wether the car needs to be returned physically is up to the car manufacturer. I think most of the people complaining about the semantics are shareholders, they are just fine with "hanging up" their phone etc.
__m··on Tesla recalls 1.8M cars because their hoods can open while driving
If it was just an OTA you probably wouldn’t hear about it, missing the fact that the hood might unlatch with Tesla just showing an error
__m··on Show HN: Vdm, a sane alternative to e.g. Git submodules
What I don't like about submodules is that they are centralised, you can't just easily migrate to another server without having them still point to the old one, the urls are version controlled. I since then moved to packages.
__m··on Apple's new China problem: ChatGPT is banned there
You think they don't know that it's blocked by the government? That's daily life, they all use vpn to access chatgpt etc.
__m··on [dead]
Any police reports on this?
__m··on Germany bans "Compact" magazine
Which neutral websites have been blocked?
__m··on Musk: "EU offered secret censorship deal to X. We didnt accept
Which objection to their policies did they define as hate speech?
__m··on Microsoft cutting crucial link to Gaza, Palestinians say
In court
__m··on United Airlines Jet Loses Wheel in Repeat of March Incident
killing a lot of people or putting them in danger kind of attracts that scrutiny. It sucks in cases where it's clearly the maintenance's or pilot's fault, but even in those cases you wonder if boeing left something out of their handbooks.
__m··on Show HN: Nitrogen Blue Launching from the Forest
Why did you chose ArangoDB when you are resource constrained? Incredible story btw.
__m··on I think (GNU) Emacs bankruptcy is inevitable in the longer term
I prefer to use non-GNU tools that don't come with a whole philosophy attached
__m··on 1/3 of women < 44 have no children and the trend is rising. What is causing it?
They clearly never had a cat
__m··on Chang'e 6 lunar sample return mission returns with samples from moon's far side
And nazi scientists
__m··on SpaceX to deliver vehicle to deorbit International Space Station
They would need several space stations to iterate until they would be able to nail it.
__m··on Those AAA game ports for iPhone and iPad have bombed
The backbone controller is quite nice, I enjoyed playing Death Stranding and Gears of War (cloud) on the iPhone.
__m··on Used VPN for cheaper YT Premium? Congrats, your subscription has been canceled
It’s not legal within the EU. So if you subscribe in the Netherlands, the provider can’t restrict you from using it in another EU country
__m··on Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders ID'd in WA plane crash
Before you can explain the effect of interconnecting 89 billion neurons, it‘s too soon to search for pixie dust.
__m··on Tesla shareholders re-approve Elon Musk's 2018 pay package
only if you assume that Tesla is not a car company as Musk claims, otherwise it's very high
__m··on Tesla shareholders re-approve Elon Musk's 2018 pay package
dilute your shares by 10% or have them come crashing down, easy decision. The question is for how long Elon can pump the price with ludicrous claims.
__m··on Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders ID'd in WA plane crash
Just because we can’t explain it yet doesn’t mean there is some voodoo involved
__m··on Tesla Cybertruck Loses to Model X in Towing Range Test – Again

__m··on SpaceX's fourth Starship launch approved for Thursday
Why? Without speed of light or faster than speed of light travel we are stuck with uninhabitable planets (and we can't even fix our own)
