Apple's new China problem: ChatGPT is banned there

Sounds like the people can be upset with their government if they wanted that feature. I don’t see how that’s Apple’s problem, other than needing to restrict it based on location.

If they want to take shots (which I doubt they would do… too risky), it could come up with a message that says the feature has been blocked by the Chinese government, so it’s clear to the user what is happening and why.

So what? They can not enable third party processing (I would probably avoid it personally anyways) or work with one of the approved vendors.
