VinzO··on How to Live with Introverts
Good starting point. If you want to go further you can watch Susan Cain's TED talk, "The power of introverts". As an introvert myself, I love this talk. It is good to hear for once someone saying that it is ok to be what we are.
VinzO··on Coursera course on game development using Python (first homework due tomorrow)

Could you recommend a good book about pixar?
VinzO··on 12 new universities join Coursera
Anyone knows if such course exists for video game development?
VinzO··on What Is 'The Zone' Anyway?
It's funny, I wanted to say exactly the same. I would add that this picture staying here while scrolling distracts me from focusing on the text to read which is quiet ironic considering the subject of the post :-)
VinzO··on How Tim Cook is changing Apple
He also picked Sculley. I hope he learnt from his mistake. Anyway I guess it will be very difficult to find someone with a vision for new products as good as he had.
VinzO··on $106million thanks to Angry Birds
The thing is I don't see what can be addictive in this game. I am easily addicted to games, but nothing with this one. It is so simple that it I find it very boring. I try to understand the mechanics that make people addict to this.
VinzO··on $106million thanks to Angry Birds
Has anyone any idea what made this game so successfull? I consider myself a hardcore gamer and I am interested in game development. I grew up with video games starting with game and watch, C64 and NES. I have been hooked by so many games over the years playing hours everyday. I tried angry birds for 10 mins and got so bored I never played it again. I just don't see any fun in it. Anyone like me? Any idea why people love this game?
VinzO··on Show HN: FitIt - multiplayer puzzle game
Same here, I also tried several browsers, nothing happens when I enter my name
VinzO··on Education Hacks: Schools kill creativity - Sir Ken Robinson
Ken Robinson has several talks regarding education on TED. I really love them and find them very inspiring. I listen to them regularly. If you never looked at it, I really recommend it. It opened my mind on a new type of education.
VinzO··on Papers Every Programmer Should Read (At Least Twice)
It seems the site is down :(

VinzO··on Advanced programming languages
ADA is also good for that.
VinzO··on Show HN: My 6 Weeks Project, MultiplayerChess.com

VinzO··on Show HN: My 6 Weeks Project, MultiplayerChess.com
With Internet Explorer I see only an empty chessboard. Is it working only wiht Chrome/FF/Safari?

Just before anyone start a rant on decent browser, this is my office PC and I can't install anything else than IE :-(

VinzO··on Against School - John Taylor Gatto
Did you mean that alternative schools have usually the same results as homeschooling or as standard schools?
VinzO··on Poll: Where do you work (geographically)?
I guess some will say you have to add Quebec
VinzO··on Do something positive - leave your job
They are much more than just ok. It is great to have kids.
VinzO··on Zelda-style maps of New York City based on Open Street Map
That remembers me the time when i played sim city on my C64 !
VinzO··on Learning C++ in 2010
I like that book too. I am reading it atm. But it might be difficult if you don't have already a programming experience. But for those like me who know C already it is great because it explains all the differences between C and C++ and helps you to fill the gap between both. You can download it for free at the link mentionned above. I find it much more helpfull to learn C++ than Bjarne Stroustrup's book which should be better used as a reference once you know the language.
VinzO··on Roger Federer as Religious Experience
Except that he beats Andy Roddick on that 2009 Wimbledon Final. It is in Roland Garros that he beats Soderling in final that year.
VinzO··on Ask HN: Anyone moved outside of the US to bootstrap your business?

I am also thinking about moving to Thailand.
VinzO··on The challenges of Creating a Civilization Web Game
As an up to date example, I tried a yahoo card game this week-end (http://games.yahoo.com/card-games), and I couldn't launch the game in FF without installing the latest JRE plugin. The game in question if you wanna try is "pyramids".
VinzO··on The Best Kids’ Books Ever -- Summer Break and IQ
Am I the only one who think that the Harry Potter books are not for children? I read them all and after the 4th the story becomes very dark. I really liked them, It has been years since I wasn't so eager to read the next chapter in a book, but I am not sure I would like to give this to my children. At least not very young.

Alcohol can help to fall asleep, but it is known to reduce the quality of sleep.
VinzO··on How to Retire On $500 Per Month
My wife is Thai, and I manage to speak thai a bit. I took several months of thai lessons. I confirm what has been said before. There is no yes/no word in thai. Those examples on those sites are just bad translation for beginners.

For example the word "chai" that they give for "yes" is more close to "true" when you agree with what has been said.

"Chai" is just a particular answer that can be given to a particular question. You can't use it as a "yes" answer to all question.

VinzO··on The Best Advice I have Received
So many typos. A spelling check wouldn't hurt.
