1) I find it interesting that the LLM rarely seems trained to understand it's own features, or about your account, or how the LLM works. Seems strange that it has no idea about it's own support.
2) Which leads me to the Open AI support docs[0]. It seems pretty telling to me that they use old-school search and not an LLM for its own help docs, right?
I'm not familiar with the OP's notion of a "zettlegarden" but I get the impression that they want something a bit more than just markdown files. Perhaps the idea is to increase the notion of connection between captured notes, whether intentional created, or "serendipitous".
Now, maybe I'm the minority here, but I've not heard many people use the shorthand "K's" for kilobytes, but I have heard "kb's" as a shorthand, and "kb" would be pluralized in the same way as "megs". "Forty kb's" is definitely something I've heard before.
Similarly, we would not say "The file is forty Ms", which would be parallel to forty "K's".
And, the privacy policy seems to be stolen/ copied from thedrive.ai.
>Akas is a micro podcasting app that allows you to capture your raw, unedited, personal thoughts. It's a safe space to voice your inner thoughts—small victories, daily reflections, or unfiltered musings that don't fit elsewhere. Here, your thoughts don't have to be complete or polished. Share them as they are, privately or publicly. Give your voice to what matters, even if it is raw and unrefined.
And what was unsaid: ...but I shall suffer no consequences, and I'll upend your life instead. So, I'm good, right?
What even means "I take full responsibility" in this case, if there are seemingly no consequences.
And perhaps if you're rich and comfortable that's a fine argument.
But not seeing mention in this essay of things like climate change, the increasingly real prospect of a dystopic future, the widening income gap, anti-captialism, extremism, and a general bleakness of outlook felt by young people today feels myopic.
In the US, I don't see or hear a lot of optimism for the future from Millenials or Zoomers. What I do hear from them is prospect of bringing a child into a world running out of clean water, clean air, and arable land just to work in an ever more hostile world for billionaires who think you're expendable is a pretty good set of reasons not to bring a child into the world who will have to deal with it long after we're all gone. And, after the last pandemic there is little appetite for bringing a child into this world.
So it is free, free for a limited time, free for a limited feature set, or something else? Let's find out....
Oh, I see, you have to go way down the onboarding path before they tell you is between $130 and $200 a year - after a 3-day free trial. "Weekly pricing" also seems pretty sneaky to make it appear less expensive than it actually is.
Why not just be up front about it? Do you think that your pricing is too expensive good enough, such that you have to hide it?
At least it gives you a "delete account" option at the pricing page.
Or, if you were a manager on HR's shitlist as someone they wanted gone, they would use employees updating their profile it as cause for the manager's manager to investigate if the manager should be fired for low staff morale, since the employees were seen as getting ready to quit, and so it must be the managers fault.
The company's position was, you should only use your linked in profile to talk about how good the employer was, and anything else to promote the employee or look for a job was a trigger for "finding a reason to fire".
It was horrible. Glad I'm not there anymore.
If there is a constant cloud cover that only becomes thicker / more constant over time at very high altitude I wonder if there will be detrimental effects. That was my question. What does it mean if these clouds are constant?
"They’re lit by a twilight sun catching on ice crystals and seeded by rocket exhaust and space dust." and
"Exhaust from rockets, which have been launching in growing numbers lately, can also seed the clouds, as the AIM satellite research showed."
...are a pretty startling notion.
Should we expect, then, that this phenomena will be constant / worsening moving forward as the proliferation of rocket launches increases thereby pumping more water / alumina / particulates into the very upper atmosphere?
I'm not an alarmist normally, but taken further, then is it too hyperbolic to say that SpaceX and its high-frequency launch competitors are already changing the global weather within just a few years of ramping up operations?
Can we say with certainty that the occurrence of these clouds is not an harbinger / indicator of future weather changes? Like, does having more ultra-high altitude clouds increase or decrease greenhouse effects, for example?
If this continues, we could / will face a shortage of senior devs in the future. As the current senior devs retire or move on, there might not be enough experienced devs to fill their roles because the initial demand for junior devs has decreased. This potential gap could have significant implications for the industry. What happens then?
Sigh.
Actually, thanks for creating this. It's a perfect screening device for companies I would NEVER want to work for. Seriously. If you employ a service like this to fully dehumanize job candidates, then you are definitely NOT the kind of shop I would ever want to work for.
