I've rarely had it happen in the bathroom, even with outlets right next to a sink. But I had an outlet at ground level outdoors that would trip during heavy storms sometimes. We fixed it by putting a physical cover over it.
The worst part of the British system though (although I don’t think this has anything to do with voltage, IDK) is there is nowhere to plug-in your razor, hair clippers, hair dryer, toothbrush, curling iron, etc. etc.
My current company gives me 20 days (combined vacation and sick) but we only get 6 paid holidays.
Additionally, this article is about the UK where healthcare is paid through taxes. Are you suggesting the overweight pay higher taxes?
I’m know you’re making a joke but I want to point out that only a small percentage of blind people have 0% vision and it’s important that we address accessibility on our sites for multiple types of users.
When they're younger it's not so bad. You can simply say "only 1 hour of screen time a day" and the kids don't put up a fuss. I even went a year without a TV and they just think this is normal because they don't have any other experience to compare it too.
At the Jr. High / High School level though it became difficult. Even when my son wanted to meet up with his friends in person and suggested things like going to the city park / mall his friends would decline and say "Why? Let's just hang out on Xbox." It wasn't even about playing Xbox, that's just where they hang out now. We even went so far as to build a game room and outfit it with multiple Xboxen, network switches, large TVs, etc. The kids still just preferred hanging out at their own homes and talking over headsets.
The only thing that ended up helping was we set a rule that he had to join two clubs at school. He tried a few different clubs and found two he liked. At one of the clubs they just happened to have a tradition of going and getting Boba afterwards and hanging out. He now has a decent group of friends that hangs out, in person, just talking.
Or more funding will go towards public transportation. There will be more room left from parking for new housing. Less money will be spent on infrastructure maintenance. City planners can work on walkable cities instead of drivable cities. Cities will be quieter and safer.
One downside for me is we have to plan further ahead to hang out since he is almost always scheduled to work weekends. But between us we’ve got plenty of PTO to make it work. We’re doing a full week of bikepacking in July!
I’ve been hearing this (and worrying about it) for longer then I’ve been working from home. Coming up on 18 years this December.

Either a portion of each employees pay could fund all of this or since the company is providing everything then we could just do without pay entirely. Not sure which method is best really.
note: I don't have data points for either, I'm genuinely curious
We've tried delivery three times. Every time resulted in a refund because they sent the wrong order.
I like how the backup is outside my house, but I'm about to add Yubikey to my iCloud account and I'm not sure the Windows iCloud client is going to like that.
But we were trying to watch HGTV on Apple TV, got kicked out of an already logged in session, and now have no way to log back in. I can’t imagine they will have any choice but to issue at least some refunds if this goes much longer.
Once because of IBS and once because they liked taking mid-day showers.
Added bathrooms shouldn’t be a problem.
