I know many such cases as well. Unfortunately it's hard to prove discrimination and the laws are not in favor of the employee in most states. So apart from a news coverage like this article, I doubt much comes out of these lawsuits. Seems futile to pursue.
During regular working hours? No way! 545 is awesome and takes ~30 minutes to Seattle. So an hour is more realistic. Even carpool is not bad with much better HOV coverage.
One big problem with cycling is riding in rain or cold weather. If only there was a canopy that I could put on my bike in a few minutes and then go out for ride, that'd be so awesome! Even something permanent would be good but then you start turning it into a car and now human power is not enough to drive this vehicle. A covered single seat vehicle that is mostly human powered with some electric assist when needed and gyro stabilization would be my dream commute vehicle
I'd love for recipe sites to have this feature where I can plan a meal for the week at office on a weekday during break time and the groceries required for the meal show up at my doorstep every week. The site can then track the nutrients based on the recipe and integrate with my health tracking apps to ensure that me and my family is getting the right nutrients and exercise... I wish...
Not just that, Google is devoting its energy to develop the closed platform rather than developing android. The example you give are relatively minor updates with major new functionality now being developed outside of core android as the author points out.
Microsoft's browser doesn't get much love here but browsing is a lot of fun on Surface. First its a full desktop class browser with flash support (albeit only on some sites) the second is the full screen dedicated to browser as opposed to space eaten up chrome around the client area. It matters when your screen is small. And finally buttery smooth scrolling as good if not better than iPad.
Completely misunderstood the product. Its a mistake to compare the Surface pro with iPad. The right device to compare with is the MacBook air. both of them have the same capability and are in the same class.
It was more fun when it was in the middle of the room with the kids playing either setback joyride or fruit ninja. Its stable on stand but only as much fun as any other desktop. (not much for the kids)
That is because the underlying hardware was never powerful enough to support the emulation or the emulation code was not efficient enough. With the current virtualization technology and powerful hardware, I doubt why this would not be effective.
We have the Sony and its a blast with the kids. Got it just in time for the holidays and with 4 kids playing on it together was fun. The apps were limited on win8 though. With android apps, I can imagine it will be even more fun!
Besides developing office on Linux means commiting resources to support that platform. In this case its a website and Google actually spent resources to break a site that was working previously.
