Here is a vector drawing software on which I'm working:

Here are some (old) image builds with it:

Very interesting but on a naming perspective what is a "micro large" model ?

Despite the error in the parenthesis, it's exactly what he says: https://artificialanalysis.ai/?intelligence-category=text-on...
Rexxar··on Microsoft agentically ports Copilot runtime to Rust for $120K
30000 is not that big in very old projects with many contributors. There are always one or two files that no one wants to take the time and responsibility to clean up. And 30000 is not a big number for RAM. The fact that you find it choking is more and of an indication of how bad our tools have become than anything else.

For example, until recently the main file for donet runtime GC was more than 50000 lines (it has since been split).

They don't have to tell us they are vibe coding everything.

- there are now ridiculous vibe coded localisation in VS2026

- task manager started to not report cpu usage correctly recently (the number becomes stalled)

- file explorer display the "loading" icon infinitely on some directories

- and many other things!

Rexxar··on Cyclomatic Complexity in C#

  > That is just maths here working
No this is just numerology here, it's meaningless.
Rexxar··on Typesafe-computer-use drives a Mac toward a goal for 1/50th of a cent per step
I prefer when I see other comments to confirm or infirm my opinion.

  > Would it be an affirmative defense if we had a defendant who said [...]
Maybe replace it with playing a sort of FPS game then learning you were, in fact, directing a real drone/robot.
Rexxar··on An atlas of periodic solutions to the three-body problem
I think we can consider the planet(s) negligible from a mass perspective.

Rexxar··on The growing divide between AI hype and software engineering reality
Additionally, if this is true companies that have replaced all their software engineers will discover that they themself can be completely replaced by AI by their former customers.
Rexxar··on Karpathy’s Pelican
What narrative has changed ? I just see an experiment with a very perfectible result and some reflections about what capacity are currently missing to have better results.
Rexxar··on Kuna: Decompiler Development in the Age of Coding Agents
There is no point to have an LLM do what can be done faster and deterministically by standard algorithms.
Rexxar··on Show HN: Reverse Minesweeper
Did you use something like Z3 to solve/create the problems ?
Rexxar··on Map of the world's great castles and fortresses
Telling that "eau" is just "o" for pronunciation confuse foreigners even more. Some of then even thinks you are mocking them.
Rexxar··on Solod: Go can be a better C
Very interesting. I have a personal experimental project to convert go to c++ but it's less advanced than this (https://github.com/Rokhan/gocpp). My initial intention was to manage garbage collector with some smart pointer or something like Boehm GC but I've still not reached the point where it's the main problem to solve.
Rexxar··on EU Council forces Chat Control via fast-track
EU doesn't tries to force a law. Some politicians does. EU is just a group of institutions.
Rexxar··on Command and Conquer Generals natively ported to macOS, iPhone, iPad using Fable
That's the G in AGI.
Rexxar··on Ford AI hiccups push carmaker to rehire ‘gray beard’ inspectors
> velocity should never be a first-class concern

Some people have not learned that velocity at small scale without global synchronisation is just thermal agitation.

Rexxar··on Micron locks in historically high memory prices for five years
At some point would it be more cost efficient to replace DRAM by SRAM or some other technology and use standard cpu/gpu silicon wafers to build ram chips ?
Rexxar··on Rhombus Language 1.0
Interesting.

Just a little nitpick on the repo root: "This is not the readme you want, Please go to the src directory." => But there is no readme in src directory

Rexxar··on Digital euro clears key hurdle as EU seeks to break free from U.S. credit cards

Rexxar··on Show HN: Geomatic – A command-driven geometry studio enabled with autodiff
I don't understand what the use automatic differentiation for in this context.
Rexxar··on Bun support is now limited and deprecated
I don't use Node.js or Bun, so I'm little out of touch. But what need 1 millions lines of code as the js engine itself is a library ?
Rexxar··on Bun support is now limited and deprecated
I don't know why but AI and LLMs seems to make people to lose basic sense of rationality. I didn't think we would have seen so many comments such as "It’s all the same just different syntax" after a full rewrite some years ago.

> What's your imagined ideal outcome when you comment... this, exactly?

That you take more time to search yourself before asking other to do it.

> Advice: just put the link and skip snarky commentary

As usual, the one requesting compliance to other is often the worst offender.

> Apart from the guy claiming an imaginary "all security bugs will be fixed" which I already said I disagree

That was exactly the point of the 'bluedragon1221' initial comment you were responded to. So finally you agree ?

> Which part of the comment comes off as fanatic to you?

I didn't use the word 'fanatic' neither the previous comment you were responded too.

> Can you discuss productively without attacks?

So you thing someone telling you "look a little harder" is a "personal attack" ? After I took some time to give you a link you ask for ?

> I'm not seeing fanaticism.

You are the only one using this word in this discussion.

"bigiain" comment, in the same discussion is an example: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48120707

There is comment like this everywhere, if you don't see them it's just that you don't want to see them. There are a little less frequent than 5 years ago but still frequent enough in each c, c++ or rust discussions.

Rexxar··on ASML became the chokepoint for cutting-edge chips
It's strange to count this as single machine. But if we go this way, the north Chinese interconnection and the continental Europe interconnection are bigger (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide_area_synchronous_grid).
