While I agree that midwivery was given an unfair shake, it does not seem to account for the age distribution of deaths represented here. Or am I missing some way midwivery may change outcomes over that long a time...
I repair cars for fun, and do what might best be filed under odd jobs for profit. I live in a rural area, and having a lot of skills puts me in demand. I haven't seen an ide in years and it brings me peace.
Because VR still sucks, and even good VR still messes with sense of proportion. Easier for most just to handle the object. But for complex or impractical to print items, it is a fantastic idea used by most modern engineering companies.
As long as they are decent quality. I have an aquaintance who dresses up for events in cheap terrible suits and he looks like a caracature of a used car salesman. He is genuinely embarrasing to be around, but thinks the attention is positive, because people recodnise him now. Nice guy, but I can't help but think more people need to know, so they don't do the same.
Levi's is pretty much bargain bin quality. Last time I tried them on I tiried 6 same size pairs, all fit vastly different. One had a pocket sewn shut. No qc whatsoever. Its like they gave up.
Suppressing when attackers are muslim does not equal equating all muslims with terrorists. Wtf. Lets not censor our news for any reason, nor sensationalize it.
Because they, too, know better? I get your reasoning, but with equal position one could argue that in the clear retrospective light of our failures, theirs would be a larger one, by both proportion, and foreknowledge of its effects. Its a sticky wicket because nobody has good economic incentive to save it right now.
One could argue with one, people would buy more of the other. Now that most rent, a car will be the biggest single financial decision most people make in their lives. Kinda weird, but preparing people for it would help it happen more. I know people who feel they are too poor to even aspire to a car these days. Its not true, but it is the best of their knowledge. Surely there is wide reaching opprotunity to be had here.
Exactly. Even as an electronic musician, I find myself going as tactile and kino as possible when trying to be expressive. Anyone can sequence notes, and notes don't make music. This will be good for producers, but not much value to musicians.
Sure, if you ignore the rapidly growing auqaponics/bioponics tech that has been around si ce the 80s. Its basically a semi sustaining closed loop of agriculture and fish farming, using the waste of each, as the input to the other. Less food, antibiotics, and fertilizers in one shot.
Simply put, it does not add to the discussion. It is mildly amusing a personal quip, that invites no further insight. It is also not relevant to the link, which is not always startup funding related. HN is picky about the commens it promotes, and most of us feel thats a good thing.
Depends on the other surfaces. If the ceiling is hang tiles, rough wood, or fabric panels, there is such thing as too well damped. Most rooms have a happy zone of about 30-60% reflectivity. More sounds like a bathroom, but less can be equally unnerving to people. Also, polished concrete is ubiq due to it being cheap, easy, and looking decent for a long time. That 4x4 carpet is not much better, and is the similarly priced, equally soulless, alternative.
He isn't wrong, just a bit inarticulate. My father worked landscaping 7 days a week to pay his way through college, then drove used vws for 15 years while he built credit and bought a small fixer upper. I have yet to see anyone complaining that the boomers 'made it impossible to own a home' try half as hard.
Its more about the loss, and subsequent regeneration of momentum. Some evs do quite well at this. But the real solution is better civil engineering standards like roundabouts that concerve momentum rather than forcing stops. That would benefit all cars, drivers, and non drivers alike.
My toyota has lifetime trans fluid, which smart owners change every 100k. Chevy iirc was the 1st to try this in the corvette transaxle. It makes maint a lot harder if you keep a car more than a decade. No fluids additives can last that long. You will just end up replacing whole components instead of servicing them.
And all ecars have at least a differential, and many have gearsets, even if they do not shift. These are mostly heilical/hypoid style gears. That fluid uses shear additives that need to be replenished to abate wear. If you have not changed your trans/diff fluid in over 100k, now is the time. Your jeep, having a solid axle, is tremendously more simple and overbuilt than a normal car too. Extrapolating from that is not accurate.
Their new cars are not that great. With the exception of pickups and mustangs, the last vestange of FR engineering, they are mostly adaquate. Even the new RS models were rushed, with cheap torque vectoring that eats your brakes and is a pain to service. Top it off with the industrys worst salespeople and this slump is no suprise.
This is not passing the smell test. I, and many familiars, have greatly exceeded this kids intake. There has to be something else going on here. The media FUD surrounding this is deafening.
