Any idea what percentage of all (at least the biggest ones) were taken down? '15 high-profile [...] websites' could be most of the high-profile ones or just 10%. Sadly, few articles put things into perspective.

it we're being factual about it: "...a way to get some of Shoemaker’s remains to the Moon’s surface". But then again, the title "Almost all the remains of Eugene Shoemaker are still the first ones being almost buried on the Moon" would not sound very good.

To the Sun, a moon is like a submoon to the planet, so what would be the difference? With enough distance in between it should be possible. Not probable but possible.

Submoons will probably clump together much easier in the formation phase of any system and a moon will never capture an asteroid before it's planet does.

As the author pointed out, the question remains how stable it is. The almost nonexistent cases (at least in our Solar System) shows how rare it is. Maybe only distance is a factor. Huge Solar Systems with twice the distance between objects will also have more submoons.

This should hurt CBP more than just returning "almost all" of the cash. Maybe then they will repair their processes and inform everybody better.

Otherwise it will just remain an absurd "I stole from you; you saw it; I gave the money back to you; No hard feelings please."

Romanian here. 5mbps cannot be chosen, not even for rural areas where fiber is being upgraded for free (e.g. the rural town of my parents was upgraded to fiber).

Lowest I know is from UPC which still has some weird 50mbps option but compare that to the biggest ISP, RDS, which has practically made 300mbps the default as you pay the same amount for 100mbps as for 300mbps since a year or so, both for 7$. And by 300mpbs I mean 300mpbs (the remote servers being the bottlenecks while good ones & tests max out).

I get the Mars part but they could have the walls to be fail safe at least on Earth. It's not like they will improve the design only if the rocket falls over and explodes. They would still have to land it up straight, while having some sort of "no wall touched" target (or award). Not to mention the money they save if not every fail is also a complete loss of the rocket. p.s. Money left is also good for future Mars missions.

The landing could be made safer by something like cushioned walls that deploy towards the rocket after touchdown, to avoid such explosions. Think of a giant Christmas Tree stand like this: http://www.christmastreeland.co.uk/product_images/v/428/761_.... but with cushioned hooks on the barge. You can't always hope for all 4 legs to be in perfect condition, or that there aren't high waves in the ocean. That rocket is huge and seems to fall too easily, while a stand with hooks can't be too expensive, unlike a complete new rocket...
