You're right. But I didn't mean it like that , I meant the ones who don't use AI don't want to use AI to do anything because they think it's wasting time/cheating , they take pride in saying THEY made something not AI (in the same here) , but the ones who do use AI knows that cheating is fine as long as the product is good.
The fact is unless you are some really smart prodigy not using AI is not worth it most of the time..
Atleast that's my experience, I've learned programming myself to the point I can give the instructions properly and see whether the AI did something wrong or not. I think using AI as a way to save time is better than "vibe coding"
Again that's based on my experience
People who shame AI (most of them) can't do things themselves and blame others when they are actually doing something, just need the correct excuse.
They will be left behind criticising while the ones who are using AI keep moving forward with the right use of AI.
I'm talking about literally "Google play services" , it cannot be replaced for now , apple is different that's an entirely different ecosystem. The apps aren't the problem the problem is Google play services itself isn't effectively replaceable with anything else (as I mentioned in the previous message)
And because of that Google apps don't work , banking apps too any anything that needs security as well.
The problem is. There is always something that breaks no matter what we do.. banking apps straight up refuse to work sometimes. And many services don't work even with MicroG
It is exactly what it looks like. People try to gain karma on popular sites by making quick posts that may go popular. So once they gain enough karma they can just advertise their product freely without immediately getting banned
100% , AI should never be placed in a position where it makes all the decisions itself. Even if it can make the descisions doesn't mean you should let it. A manager is required ,that was said correctly by paul graham.
Also whether you need to learn CS depends on your goal , if you're someone who have to work in corporate or in a company then learning CS is still required.
But if your only goal is to make something using your own creative ideas then not learning CS is valid.
But it also depends on what kind of person you are. For me example i only started using AI to speed up my working once I understood everything. Some people hate completely depending on something or someone which leads them to learning the skill so they can stop depending.
You know the best way to deal with this feeling? Design and make your own apps and systems. With all the AI stuff going on users are appreciating human-made things more. If you truly love building stuff then AI shouldn't stop you doing that.
Yes but that's for efficiency, they don't just say "make a cool game" they tell the AI exactly what to do so it doesn't break anything , that still need skill and you still have to check the code for bugs , I was referring to people who just put a single prompt and expect something good to be made from it
Yea I do agree but most of the gamers who actually stream games mostly only care about how good the game is. If it's AI but has a solid storyline and gameplay then it would most probably be a success compared to a game which was created by just "Make a cool game " prompt
Not worse but more strict with all the AI stuff going on , you might not even know that you've been arguing with a bot for the past month until it got flagged or banned
Anti AI startup is definitely feasible but it also depends what you mean by anti AI , the thing is most people who know what they are doing and mostly tech people refuse the use of AI because it feels like they're cheating. But most consumers donot care about that , they just care about convenience.
The hype around AI is definitely captivating because of so much it is able to do, Anti AI definitely stands out because of so much AI stuff going around but the startup needs to be still good,
For example: if you just make a game company saying you never use AI that's not very convincing for anyone to play the games. People don't care about whether you used AI or not most of the time , they care about the game.
But if you start a company claiming to make a AI less smartphone with extra privacy that's something people might like because AI is literally EVERYWHERE right now.
I'm not very good at examples but you get my point
For real though. Before learning ML it was like magic to me, even after learning it I feel like it's magic. Can you imagine how a basic maths concept can turn into something that can literally "Calculate" what to say!
And yes I agree on the other points but I think the billionaires came out of nowhere I might have missed something
What I meant was it can only work using the data it only has to either combine them to achieve something or use that data in a better way that humans mostly cannot , those mathematical proofs it gave has nothing to do with it , it only proved it using tiny things humans overlooked. It can't create an entire new concept by itself or it has no intuition it only mimics intuition (as far as I can tell)
At least not till now.
Edit:
(I'm only a student I know the line between intuition and proof finding in clever ways is thin, I'm mostly being biased here because it feels absurd to me. On second thought maybe i am wrong.)
If you mean an extremely smart AI which can do anything then no. By Far AI can only do things it was trained on. They can't have any "intuition" for anything (related to science and stuff) which is REQUIRED if you want to create "God"
Good project nonetheless but you should put it in Show HN, more chances of being discovered than here because people wouldn't generally like the fact that you are advertising like this
It's just I can't find any custom ROM for my specific smartphone so I want to make one specifically for it and with UI customisations while being user friendly too
Uh.. not my phone I'm only making the OS for myself anyways if people don't like the idea , and I might have mislead everyone here but I want a user friendly way to edit and create custom UI in the smartphones while not being as complicated as linux
UI customisations , basically changing everything to the way you like and you can start over and make your own version or add / remove functions (like a full incognito mode that isolates your entire session) idk dude editing system UI.apk is somewhat good but I can't create custom stuff in it I can only edit existing ones.
